You bring up Coleman, Brees said similar stuff about him, how the hell you think he plays 48 games in the NFL? Brees and SP have a history of latching on to these intangible types over the athletic freaks

Coleman was an athletic freak. Tall WR who could fly. However, if this was Madden his injury, hands and carry percentage would be pedestrian.

Don't know why everyone or anyone is surprised by LJ or Butler. We have better depth than them (Carr is questionable but has been in the system a few years; Butler and LJ are clearly still learning it which makes then prime PS candidates).

Ozigbo is surprising for the fact we only have 3 backs. He was clearly the 4th best and I doubt we run with 3 in the long term. I expect Ozigbo will go on the PS temporarily if he clears.

I'm guessing this is to do with some injuries we have (especially LB with Anzalone and Robertson; and obviously Rankins) and once a few guys get healthy Ozigbo gets called up.

This goes for TE also. 2 is light. I expect that changes after a few weeks.

How can PJ MFing Williams still have a job ? If he is lucky enough to see the field, he will be picked on unmercifully. And Patrick Robinson & his billion dollar salary . There's no use even bringing that one up. Here we are cutting highly talented players , & showcasing PJ & PR. JFC .

Coleman was not good, but he stuck around here for 3 seasons for a reason

“He’s one of my favorite teammates, B-Cole,” quarterback Drew Brees said. “Whatever you ask him to do, he’s ready to do to help the team. And week to week that changes. Some weeks it’s, ‘Hey, B-Cole, we’re gonna need you to block this guy like 40 times this game, can you do that for us?’ ‘Yeah.’ ‘Hey, we need you to step in and run this series of routes or do this in the red zone or do this on third down.’

“The guy can do anything you ask him to do. And he does it willingly, and he’s tough and he’s smart. He knows each receiver position. We have a lot of experience together now, this is going on four years. ... When you have that much time together, that’s when you really develop a rapport. And there’s things that we can reference too, together, from years past that might help us with a certain route or a certain concept that we’re installing week to week. So I have a ton of confidence in him.”

PJ balled the frick out in the slot last year.

I know PRob was a small sample size, but our defense looked much better when he went down and PJ stepped in.

Just don't ask PJ to play outside.

Which is the same reason I suspect we went Carr over those two UDFAs. He knows the shite and is willing to do it. These rookies are still trying to get their dicks wet.

Put em on the PS and let then get some seasoning.

what makes y'all think Humphrey would make the team as a 3rd tight end lol.

I could see maybe in the future if he bills up and learns the position some.
hopefully he sticks on practice squad, cause he has good hands and is strong catching the ball

Want to give a shout out to Kaden Ellis for making the team as the Saints last pick in the 7th.
Props to him and the Saints FO as I think we got a guy.

If you like what Taysom brings I think we are going to like Ellis.

Kaden is the son of Luther Elliss, a first-round pick in 1995 for the Detroit Lions who played 10 years in the NFL. Kaden was the Utah High School Most Valuable Player in 2013 as a quarterback and defensive end. Ellis was an honorable mention All-Sun Belt pick in 2016 after intercepting five passes to lead all FBS linebackers showed off his athleticism by lining up at wide receiver and tight end (7-156-22.3, two TD). Ellis was a first-team pick in 2018, leading his team with 16 tackles for loss and seven sacks (60 tackles, three pass break-ups). He played some offense, as well (3-20-6.7 receiving). nfl.com

Brandon Coleman actually retired from the NFL on Monday. He had a career-threatening neck injury that he couldn't overcome.
