It's hard for me to judge Fuaga at RT having to play next to the worst lineman in the league

Too soon for that.

Need to keep drafting BPA.

Even if Fuaga ultimately is a guard, he has the traits to be an elite one. That's not necessarily a terrible thing if they do move him there. This is a pretty solid tackle draft with a lot of depth, so this could be a good time to draft another tackle, move Fuaga to guard, and then draft another guard. Then you've got an OL that looks like

Banks
Drafted player
McCoy/Ruiz
Fuaga
Drafted player

Someone else will have to figure out the cap situation with cutting Ruiz/McCoy, I'm not sure if either of them are realistic cuts with the dead cap. McCoy is injury prone and Ruiz sucks at guard but can probably play center at a decent level.

Nah he’s played fine

Most everyone else would say you were wrong. Not to mention his PFF score. He’s not even in the top 50% of RTs in the NFL. Is this Mickey Loomis?

None of this is true

Nah, ML wants to convert kickers to guard just like most of this board does.

The OL is the biggest reason to fire the scouting department. We’ve invested into this group for five years with nothing to show for it.

Even longer if you include the defensive line.

Davenport, Fosky, Turner, Breese. That’s 4 firsts and a high second with little to nothing to show for it.

I’m a Fuaga fan, but he’s been pretty bad at RT this year. While Peat, Penning and Ruiz have been bad at guard, I think Fuaga is better on the left side and would be a stud at guard. I’d love to move Fuaga next to Banks, move Ruiz to backup center, and sign either a good RG or RT and draft either a RT or RG with our 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Why not?
It’s better than wasting all of our first round draft picks on them.

Not really. Our tackles are good, Fuaga has been playing hurt but he will bounce back. Banks has been good for a rookie and will keep improving and McCoy is a rock at center. Spend a couple day 2 picks on interior OL and a lot can change.
