We all looked at it and pretty much everyone thought after the bye.

That will be 3 months for a hamstring. Considering how long it has taken him previously, that is about right

Young man will have to figure this out, and he can't miss entire seasons in the future with a hammy

Not surprised. Underhill hinted on his pod last week that the saints are in "no rush"

Passing game is good so it’s not like it’s a pressing need so I don’t see the need for rush and think long term. But yeah he gotta do what Christian Watson or JSN did to figure this out .

Has there ever been a skill player with many lower body injuries that ever figured it out?

These arent minor things like a rolled ankle.

I saw something about Christian Watson and his issues with hamstring injuries. He went to specialist who did some testing and imaging and found that some muscles in his legs were not proportioned or equal. They created a plan to equal the strength in his legs or strengthen the weaker leg. Supposedly that worked or has worked and Watson has not had hamstring issues since. Maybe that is Tyson’s issue.

Yes, there are many players that had severe hamstring issues that figured it out

One was a first round pick for the Saints not that long ago

Track sprinters and soccer players. Somewhere between the two extremes maybe a answer can be found.

I'm old enough to remember when a small faction of us were saying drafting in the top 10 a player with a consistent history of injuries is a bad idea. The late, great Mike D was saying the same thing. Nobody is denying Tyson's talent, but talent means diddly poo when it's not being displayed on the football field. His body just does not appear to be one built for the physical turmoil of an NFL player.

He seems like a good dude, so I hope the best for him for his sake as well as the team's.

I refuse to believe in todays sports medical sciences that a hammy cannot be managed with a willing subject.

Saints Draft Thread

I literally melted when we picked him.

The two guys I didn’t want were Bain and Tyson.

Him Olave and Jeremiah Smith will be the best WR trio in the league next year.

of course. This clown show front office would have better luck throwing darts blindfolded to figure out who to pick.

The fact there's 6 downvoters still simping for bubble gum-smacking Loomis is all you need to know about this franchise.

It's not just a hammy with him. He has a list of injuries.

Regarding the hamstring, the knee injuries can contribute to that. If he doesn't come back from the knee injury with proper strength and stability to support the knee, then the major muscles operating it may over work in ways that are not conducive to the torque and stress of professional football. That can lead to injuries of those muscles. I'm not saying that is what happened here, but it is an example of what may have.

The reality is that some peoples' bodies just are not naturally designed to withstand the punishment of a professional football player. That is not a knock on those people; it's simply biological. Tyson appears to be one of those people to me. If he indeed is, then no amount of science and medical treatment can change that.

I really do hope it is otherwise and that he becomes an NFL healthy player. I tend to think he won't, but only time will let us know for certain
