but I also think they will slowly fade as QBs become more and more like Watson, Mahomes, Dak, Wentz, etc.

i mean they run RPO stuff but it's not like these QBs aren't running pro-style offenses otherwise

you don't have to have a mobile QB to run RPO

the "pro style" stuff is more about how you read the field rather than the plays/concepts. CFB offenses allow guys to hide making real reads/adjustments. THAT is what's being referenced to Tua being an "RPO" guy. if he couldn't handle a more substantive analysis of defenses, then he's going to be eaten alive in the NFL

Yep. Well said
Also the tua under pressure numbers aren't great

Tua looks great when he has time, I mean his deep ball is a thing of beauty, but under pressure is a different story.

I've always thought thought tua is a hell of a player but him not being able to handle the "pro- style install" scares me the most

I mean the kid came off one of the greatest seasons in CFB history running RPO stuff. I’d love to know the context into what exactly happened or what Sark even tried to change.

Every kid when throwing against air simulates the RPO run fake, so yea a lot of them come up with it.

Did Sark try & change the whole offense? Was it a few plays? Did he just test his competence ?

All these kids coming out are having to adjust. It’s draft week, there’s so much smoke I don’t really believe much of any of it

I’ve always been of the opinion that Tua was incredibly overrated. Which means he will probably turn out to be the GOAT.

With their running game, elite receivers, offensive line, ref bias, and schedule, I could have put up great numbers as the Gump QB the last two years.

Sounds like the guy may have had bad sources and was relaying old scores, who knows

Prove that, show the test with this years date on it.

Fake News-Spin from Birmingham...Judy & Jedrick got 9's. They go to the same school. The Chickens are coming back to roost & rightfully so...

Everybody has their day...it's past time. The spotlight is on them-- if it was true about the wrong score the NFL would stand up and say so. No official statement from the NFL on this damming mistake, means all the rest is a spin job.

Common sense..

Tua is sTuapid...

Uh, no.

Yet again, Bob McGinn has gotten the numbers from someone within the league, someone who shouldn’t have disclosed the numbers. Yet again, Bob McGinn has published them.

McGinn has been getting the Wonderlic scores for years, undisputed. Imma trust him, he clearly has a reliable source. Not buying the damage control.

Lamar Jackson scored a 13 and he earned last year's MVP award.

Lamar is a completely different type of qb. He doesn’t actually throw the ball very much and when he does teams are so worried about him running that it is easy pickings. The wonderlic isn’t a very good indicator of intelligence but it is red flag for sure.

Elite athleticism makes up for a lot of flaws. That ain’t Tua. There’s nobody that claims Lamar Jackson is great at reading defenses and working through his progressions - first read isn’t open, he’s off to the races.

You wouldn’t pass on a undersized, left handed, injury prone QB who excelled in a RPO and was known for throwing 50/50 balls to elite WR’s? I would.

You’re gonna put your trust in a bleeding heart lib like Mike Florio, who posted that article on.. twitter. Good job. You got em, you uncovered the conspiracy of giving Tua a 19

Jim Nagy is in on it too bc he runs the Senior Bowl and the Senior Bowl is in Mobile and Mobile is in Alabama and Alabama is GUMP territory!
