Actually Kiper said yesterday on ESPN that he couldn’t think of a single QB with an extensive college injury history that didn’t have an extensive injury history in the pros.

If he scored a 27, anyone below that must be illiterate.

Tua started every game as a Soph & his Jr season ended on a freak tackle thing. He’s been knicked up but who hasn’t? Alabama gets so much media attention, it becomes overblown.

Burrow has played injured thru games, he’s missed practiced because of injury, he broke his hand in 2017.

Tua has had one freak injury, but all that other stuff is overblown.

Tua would be great in the Saints quick pass offense. Good deep ball thrower too.

Protects the football.

781 career dropbacks, Tagovailoa has only 24 turnover-worthy plays.

Elite pocket presence.
quote:

Tua has been unfazed by pressure in the pocket nearly his entire college career. He not only had a 105.0 passer rating when faced with pressure the past two seasons, but he also only converted pressure to sacks 13.2% of the time. The latter is an elite figure for a college quarterback and puts him in company with guys like Patrick Mahomes (11.4%), Drew Brees (12.4%) and Tom Brady (14.1%) in the NFL.

accuracy is measured, it’s not something that’s debatable.
quote:

Highest percentage of passes charted with perfect ball placement of any Power-5 quarterback. Only 20.1% of this throws past the line of scrimmage were deemed uncatchably inaccurate. That ranked fourth among Power-5 quarterbacks.

% of uncatchably off-target throws targeting when an OPEN receiver 5-18 yards downfield in 2019:

Tua 4.3%
Hurts 5.0%
Burrow 5.1%
Love 14.1%
Herbert 18.1%

For context

2018 QB class:
Lock 5.2%
Murray 6.5%
Jones 7.3%
Haskins 9.5%

2017 QB class:
Rosen 3.1%
Mayfield 6.3%
Lamar 9.2%
Darnold 10.3%
Allen 12.2%

If anything we trade up just to get him. Sean will do whatever he can to land a QB he really likes.

I've heard that some teams release misinformation leading up to the draft, its almost like they want to see a prospect fall....crazy huh?

I'm not seeing any QB Wonderlic scores on the internet. Where's your source for those scores?

What retard said this about Cam after one season of playing? Not to mention Cam lasted longer than most expected given his style of play.

Someone tried to make the argument on the radio the other day that Taysom Hill shows injury prone college QBs can survive in the NFL. If I didn't know any better I'd think you are the source on that one.

Saints have their own version of the IQ test created by the FO. Been using it since Ireland joined the staff. I don't think they put any weight into Wonderlic score

Exactly, Sandy.

Tua is about the only player I would be happy trading up for. He is a perfect fit for this offense, and even better he can learn for a year.

Justin Herbert has a 4.01 GPA and would be going to medical school if not for the NFL and got a 25

What would it say about him if he did drop from Top 5 to 24?
What do the teams choosing 5 - 23 know or think that the Saints would not know or ignore?
