The dude had the worst possible injury for his position and will cost more than the minimum. You’re chasing previous production.
He’s done.
He’s done.

I mean Saints like signing players with injuries. It lines up perfectly. Lol

We’re only signing Tre White if he has a season ending surgery and then we’ll outbid everyone else to sign him.

I would honestly be ok with a fire sale and team made up entirely of undrafted free agents for the next 3 years.. we aren’t winning shite any way . Let’s get out of cap hell, not further entrenched

I mean that’s fine. But that’s fan speak. It also doesn’t mean he isn’t pushing 30 at cb and coming off a career altering injury. You’re not playing the odds.

quote:Dude is still young, right, still in his 20s I think. Aaron Rodgers had the same injury, and says he's healthy and ready to go, talkin about playin 3 to 4 more years and he's damn near 40. So, I think White can rebound from this just fine.

Yeah but you’re not expecting Rodgers to cover some of the best and fastest wrs in the NFL. Honestly a really bad comparison.

No, I'm not comparing positions, just the recovery process. I know you can't compare a QB to a CB, but I'm just sayin that Aaron Rodgers has said he's already healed up and rarin to go. So, I think the process of recovering form achilles injuries is much better than it used to be. They know what they're doing in regards to sports medicine these days.

You’re right in regards to recovery. The question to me is how does that affect your overall ability at the position after surgery? If Rodgers doesn’t run as much not a huge big deal. But if White is slower and seems to have lost a step it severely impacts his career.

Cmon man. Comparing a 29 year man to man corner back and a pocket passer isn’t even apples to oranges with required athletic ability.
It’s a much better recovery but a couple of tenths of a second and change of direction ability can make all the difference in the world to a man to man guy.
Even though it’s better in terms of recovery, it’s far from ideal.

I’m not saying we should go after him, but cost should be close to the minimum.

Where does he play? You would have to trade Lattimore or Adebo.

Yeah, if he even gets another job. And thankfully not for the Saints

Dude why? we shouldn’t be spending a dime on talent until Carr contract is done. Hell we might be tied with Carolina for the worst team in nfc south. Trade everyone of value and have a team of UDFAs.. frick it. Would at least be entertaining
