2nd and a future 3rd or 4th. Chicago and Baltimore in need of a guard and both have 2 seconds. I trust Ireland and the rest of our org to move up into the second and take an LB

With our win now platform as it is right now. I can’t see us not moving into the second round for at LEAST one pick if not 2.

Lmao. Any ONE of those would likely do it.

I liked the idea I heard about getting some draft capital in a trade of AK and drafting Jonathan Taylor

Baltimore and Chicago both need a guard. They both have 2 2nds. It’s not far fetched. Laugh all you want

Actual star players don’t go for that.

He’ll probably be cut for the cap savings.

Maybe a 7th or something.

And they’re not trading a highly valuable pick for a declining guard with a year left on his deal. They’d draft a guard in the second round for 4 years on the cheap.

Maybe the Saints are playing chess?

Draft Ruiz to improve RG.
Trade Warford to get a pick and free up cap space.
Use cap space to sign veteran player.

Warford has had one bad year. We’re biased in our dislike for him. He was a pro bowler. Other organization could see potential where we see a fading guard that doesn’t fit our team / future. If peat can get the contract he has then who can say that Warford can’t go to a team for 1 of their 2 seconds plus another pick. I feel like there’s a reason we did this. Solidify our plan by getting the guy to replace him then trade Warford. I don’t know what else would make more sense with this pick

Dude is a 3x probowler with 101 games started out of 101 games played.

He's going to get a record contract next offseason somewhere else, the Saints werent going to be able pay him what he's going to get in the FA market.

Watford is not a bad player at all
I think you could probably get a 5th for him

Baltimore definitely not, they’re a solid organization.

Chicago might be dumb enough though
