No he didnt. He was 3rd string. In 2022, Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo went down with injuries and he went from being 3rd string to becoming the starter.

Keeping Wilson around under Coach Moore makes a lot of sense for development. Trading Rattler only makes sense if the return is actually worth it.
