which one is in the hall of fame?

Is it too early to say Lattimore. The dude has been elite since day 1

Chuck Muncie or Wes Chandler if any are old enough to have been there ?? Muncie had it all & would have records that may still stand today, except for an off-field problem. Chandler was as fluid a WR as I have ever seen. No way to describe his stride on a post; pure poetry.

Did we get Brees in the 1st?

Jamaal Brown from Oklahoma was a good one.

Reggie Bush was a good player. Nothing more, nothing less.
I don’t know why people get so dramatic about him. Drew Brees and Sean Payton were the catalysts for our current success.
Bush was a good contributor, but not a franchise-changing player. Just be realistic and appreciate the contribution that he brought to the table.

There are a lot of great names on that list, but it’s not really close. Road is head and shoulders above the rest.

1.) Roaf
2.) Jordan
3.) Smith
4.) Manning
5.) McAllister
Lattimore, Ingram, and Ramczyk very well could supplant some of those guys...

People are dramatic about Bush because that pick was iconic. That pick had to happen for us to have the success we have had. A lot of times there is before and after in people's lives. The Saints picking Bush ended the 'before' and started the 'after'.
A lot of you either didn't follow the Saints or have forgotten how fricking god awful this franchise was before 2006. I don't think Reggie Bush was this great huge success but the energy behind that pick sparked something much larger that has made the Saints one of the most successful franchises over the past decade.

Didn’t Mark Fields run a sub 4.5? That’s moving for a LB.

Deuce would be a good answer, all things considered.

I wouldn’t say he was the best but he very may well have been the most important. Drafting Mario Williams doesn’t get the franchise and city nearly as fired up
I never get this statement. Mario Williams was not an option in 06.
He’s saying had Reggie gone #1 to Houston instead of Mario, the Saints then taking Mario would not have given the same level of excitement to the franchise.
I agree.
I was in New Orleans the night before the draft when it officially broke that Houston had already agreed to contract terms with MW and the entire city was going WILD.
After all of the USC obsession over the past three seasons nationwide, and obviously in LA in particular, and Reggie closing out with a spectacular Heisman campaign, as much as I HATED USC, I fricking LOVED watching Reggie cut up all over defenses and couldn’t believe we were going to get him.
Reggie was the hero we needed AND deserved at the time. Brees was the savior but Reggie was the soldier. He brought instant swag to a team that hadn’t had any in years.
ETA: And yeah I say Roaf. We would be damn lucky to see Cam or Lattimore give us a career like Willie did
