Landry in the slot would be fun to watch with Brees. Afraid he will not be in the budget cause Miami will it lose him for $. Great WR draft this year. Do it with youth & fixed salaries in the draft.

Do you know what’s frustrating about this topic? Both Robinson and Landry were selected AFTER Stanley Jean-Baptiste!

Paul Richardson has been sneaky really good last two years.
If he goes under the radar money wise we should absolutely bite.
Love Allen Robinson but too much money.
Thinking snead looks bad because he doesn't have Thomas and cooks leaving him single and wide open all the time. Think about it that's what's been different and playing time.
He is reliable sure handed but he hasn't played that much and he hasn't been as open

some foolish team is going to pay him big money to get 8 yards a catch. Hope it isnt us.

Snead's weaknesses per combine notes:

WEAKNESSES Lacks ideal height. Fairly monotone -- does not have explosive speed to separate vertically. Too many catches are contested. Lacks wiggle to elude tacklers and create after the catch. Did not face top-notch competition.

Now that you don't have Cooks. That second that teams hesitate because of Cooks is no longer there, they don't have to worry about some 5'10 burner running right by them in a blink and think if they were supposed to make a swap or not.

I think Richardson would be a sneaky good get who shouldn’t cost what the others at the top do.

ETA: apparently when people think Richardson they feel the need to use the phrase sneaky good.

Let’s see, 93 catches with a game left = how many yards playing in the slot? Think Peyton would make a few adjustments with a WR of his caliber? We should be so foolish.

we need guys that can separate down field. Not someone who has 3 catches over 20 yards this year.

Replied to wrong person. It was supposed to be above.

Same with Landry's weakness though
WEAKNESSES
Has a fairly lean frame -- could stand to bulk up and get stronger in order to combat the jam. Lacks elite explosiveness and top-end speed -- does not have an extra gear to take the top off. Average line release, acceleration and suddenness. Could struggle to separate vs. quick-twitch cornerbacks. Large percentage of catches are contested. Lacks ideal height and is not a great leaper. Started just 12 career games.

Jordan Mathews would be a great slot WR to replace Snead

But then again, I'm starting to think that Snead is never going to return to his previous level of production.

I still say that Ginn has taken at least half of Snead's snaps on the field. 50% of the time Ginn is running the routes that Snead would have on the field. The other time Ginn is running clearing routes and the occasional deep route like Sunday.

Ginn is the deep threat that Snead will never be, so that threat has to be respected at all times which makes his routes even more lethal.

We have tall receivers and short possession receivers all talented but few 6' plus fast receivers able to start.

Draft or FA I want more of those.

Feel like you could get Richardson for a reasonable price. Lee, Wilson, and moncrief at that range next. Don’t see them paying big money for a wr2

Adams and Robinson will be too expensive. I can see us taking a “gadget” WR like Gabriel or Inman.

We aren’t getting a star

A little more than two weeks after Aaron Rodgers made a plea for the Green Bay Packers to sign wide receiver Davante Adams, general manager Ted Thompson got the deal done.

The two sides agreed on Friday to a four-year, $58.75 million deal with $32 million guaranteed and an $18 million signing bonus, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

I would be all over Pryor if I was our FO

Curtis Johnson could shape him up and he wouldn't have the burden of being our Number 1. I felt like there was a ton of pressure on him from the get go to be a Calvin Johnson for them.

He works with Thomas and Curtis Johnson and I have no doubt he would thrive with us. Drops could be an issue but we thought the same thing with Ginn and that hasn't been the case. Pryor could also be huge for us in the red zone.
