Jesus Christ, you cordogs live in a different reality. No, the Dolphins won't sign a 30 year old QB and give up the fricking number 5 pick. If anyone signs Taysom, it will be a team in the later rounds (ie Buffalo).

It would take #5 , #24, 1 next year to get Burrow.
Nope. I posted the trade value chart. Even with Miami’s #5 pick, the Saints trade value in picks only equals 2,611. We’d have to get Miami’s pick, trade it and every other pick from 2020 and likely the #1 from 2021 just to be close to equal value. Throw in the cheapness of the Bengals and you still probably fall short a few picks or a player.
So for that to work, we enter bazaaro world where Miami gives up the #5 pick for a 30 year old 3rd string QB, then;
Saints get:
2020 #1 overall pick
Bengals get:
2020 #5 , #24, #88, #127, #169 and #203 pick
2021 1st and 2nd round pick

What calculator are you using?
#1 = 3000
#5 = 1700
#24 = 740
Next Year 1 = #32 = 590
SUM(#5,#24,#32)= 3030
#1 = 3000
#5 = 1700
#24 = 740
Next Year 1 = #32 = 590
SUM(#5,#24,#32)= 3030

The value of the #1 pick is 3,000 points this year.
In 2020 the Saints own picks 24, 88, 127, 169 & 203.
Total value of every Saints pick for 2020 equals 911 points.
What would it take to trade up?
quote:
What's that make the total hypothetical price?
2020 1st
2020 3rd (the 2020 Saints, like the 1997 Saints, do not have a 2nd round pick)
2020 4th
2020 5th
2020 6th
2021 1st
2021 2nd
2021 3rd
2021 6th
2022 1st
Add in Taysom Hill and Kamara. What does the chart look like now?

I could be wrong, but I thought future picks are worth less for some reason. Like I said, I could be wrong but I remember that being discussed one time. Probably in a Davenport thread I’m sure.

When Dan Patrick asked if he was a Brown’s fan growing up, he responded that he was actually a Saints fan growing up. He later mentions how much he wished he could have played for Nebraska since he was such a big fan. I know this is crazy talk, but doesn’t it seem like the Saints should at least try to get him? I feel like if that’s the team he pulled for growing up, he would put in just that little bit of extra work to be the best player he can be at the team he cheered for as a child.

Would Kamara, pick 24, and Zion to the Cavs do it for Burrow?

I would love to get Burrow as much as anyone but it's not going to happen.
Bengals need a QB. They have a fantastic prospect in Joe. It fills a position if need.
Bengals need hype to get fans excited. They are already printing the shirts. The Bengal FO would be in fear for their lives if they dealt it away.
The cost is just too damn high.

From NFL Now: The #Bengals are willing to work with QB Andy Dalton on a trade, I'm told, a plan that has been communicated to him. This meshes with what exec Duke Tobin told me a few weeks ago that when decisions happen, "I'll be in contact with him."

The Bengals think highly of Dalton and are willing to help him choose his next destination. It's a foregone conclusion that Dalton will be suiting up for a new franchise in 2020.

Trading Dalton could also signal the Bengals are ready to move forward with using the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on a quarterback. As of the time of this publication, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to be the No. 1 pick.

The Bengals reportedly have no interest in trading the No. 1 overall pick. This may be another sign the franchise is leaning toward drafting Burrow. Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan has even admitted the team's playbook will be easy to learn for Burrow.

Detroit is the key to the whole thing.
Rumors of Detroit trading Stafford... His numbers are very team friendly and I just dont see it happening. I think Detroit is interested in stirring up a trade market for that 3rd pick. Stafford will stay.
This is where the Saints need to get.
The 3rd pick. I'd put together a package for Detroit that included their choice of Lattimore / Kamara. Im inclined to think Detroit would be very interested in Lattimore specifically...
This keeps you in the Burrow sweepstakes, as Cincy would prob be more inclined to trade that 1st pick if it meant they could net Tua in the deal. If Cincy is adamant they wont trade the #1 pick, the Saints would be in the drivers seat for Tua.

I say we sign Bridgewater then trade him and Kamara and our first pick for the first pick. It'll be easier to get another RB, than a franchise QB.
