Touching message to healthcare workers from LSU coaches (with funny Will Wade moment) - NorthshoreTigerGirl
Anyone see the email from LSU this morning with the message of appreciation to our healthcare workers? I thought it was really great and loved the “Geaux Tigers” at the end by Coach O....made me feel like we are all in this together. Here’s the [link=(https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=...

re: Tenant doesn't pay his rent..... - NorthshoreTigerGirl
Call your local bank. We called yesterday and apparently there’ll be SBA loans that will be forgiven (so let’s call them SBA gifts) which cover things like rent, payroll, and other expenses. It’s all part of this new deal which was just signed. Banks will have info next week. ...
Any 3X leveraged instrument is made for day trading only due to the decay built in after it rebalances daily.
Right, this is what I understood from doing some research. So then what’s the best way to properly use this instrument and make a decent profit with it? Buy in the morni...

Help me understand leveraged ETFs like SPXL - NorthshoreTigerGirl
A number of people on this board have recommended it and at first it seems intriguing (gaining 3x the S&P) but from everything I’m reading this is not a good long or even medium term investment and should mostly be used as a daily tool because of compounding losses and rebalancing every day. It’s al...

Thank you so much! That all makes a lot of sense. I’m in my 30’s, have a fairly high risk tolerance, and am eyeing some Vanguard funds after reading up today. Do I need to go with Vanguard to get the lowest fees for their funds or can I get those at the same price anywhere? Also, curious about the a...
It’s timeless. The advice in the sticky works for every bull run and every bear market.
But some of them give advice that’s no longer relevant (like who to go with because of commissions which are no longer charged). I’m looking for advice specifically on the most user-friendly, l...
Move/transfer your account from Edward Jones ASAP. You're likely paying fees that you don't need to.
I’m paying $40/year at this point and that’s it. Don’t know if that’s good or bad. Problem with getting out of Edward Jones is that the advisor is a family member who I got with ...

That sounds promising with TD Ameritrade. How user friendly is the app? Are there any type of offers, bonuses, etc that I should be looking for or get a referral code on? The family member who sent me a link to Robin Hood had an offer of a free stock for me and them if I sign up (although it loo...

Tips/Help for a first time investor! - NorthshoreTigerGirl
I’ve got some savings I’ve been sitting on for a while now and regretting not doing something with it. Other than my Roth IRA that I haven’t put anything into for 10 years (which is managed by someone I don’t ever talk to at Edward Jones) I don’t have any experience investing. Given the current mark...

When Dan Patrick asked if he was a Brown’s fan growing up, he responded that he was actually a Saints fan growing up. He later mentions how much he wished he could have played for Nebraska since he was such a big fan. I know this is crazy talk, but doesn’t it seem like the Saints should at least try...
