I don't have a link but Fitzmagic just called out Jamies as the answer to the Jets QB situation. Lets make a big trade!

They can’t protect and Jameis can’t move well enough to stay clean in the pocket and he doesn’t take care of the ball , especially when he’s not clean in the pocket .

Teams become desperate in these types of situations, especially at the start of the season when a blow like this happens. If I'm the Saints, I'm trying to get a 3rd or 4th for him.

Kinda what I was thinking. A second would be a windfall for the Saints, IMO and not likely to happen. But a guy can dream

Jets don’t have a 2nd next year due to the clause in the Rodgers trade. They’ll have a one, a three, and two fours.
I’d say absolutely best case scenario is they give up one of those fours. But I wouldn’t expect that for Winston. And I also wouldn’t expect the Saints would give up their only backup QB who practiced all summer in that spot for less than a 4th.
If Haener wasn’t suspended I could maybe see it. And maybe if the Jets are changing their minds around week 7-8 we revisit.

I like Haener’s potential but he’s not ready this year. Even if he wasn’t suspended we need to keep Winston around. Next year hopefully Haener will be ready to take over the #2 spot
