Try again.

Rattler was a 57% passer as a rookie. Shough clears Ratt in nearly every pertinent measure as a rookie

He made plenty of nfl level throws as a rookie. Just look at his highlights

Rattler did have double the drops.

Shough has seen pressure 20.9% of drop backs, Rattler saw pressure 20.5%.

Rattler probably had the better play caller as well.

That was a beautiful throw with pressure in his face. He threw Vele open as well.

And a worse wr core (remember olave and Shaheed were both out when he took over) and a worse line than shough

And a tougher schedule

Shough started one game with Shaheed as a WR.

We saw how reliable he is yesterday

I think besides the racial component you are struggling with the fact that while Shough has not cemented himself as “the guy”, Rattler’s fifteen game performance indicates he is at best a game manager. That might be valuable if we had a roster worth a shite, but we don’t. I could see him having some trade value in the right situation. Rattler is not capable of elevating a bad supporting cast. Jury is still out on if Shough can.

Yes we did, still better than what rattler as a rookie had to work with.

Or, crazy thought, maybe both are just mid and need more time and a better cast to get better, if they will be at all.

It cannot be stated enough that rattler last year flashed last year with an even worse cast of players around him than shough. That's not a debate.

Rattler had 3x the games as Shough. His tendencies from game 1 to game 15 were remarkably similar. He did clean up some completion % trouble with better targets and smarter short field throws. He never did anything to show you he could overcome a bad supporting cast. He started forcing things in the Chicago and TB games that went away from his game manager strengths. He may even be the right fit for a stronger roster but this ain’t it. If you can’t see there is a higher ceiling with Shough, that’s on you. Maybe he doesn’t get there but he’s shown playmaking ability.

I think with the overall state of the roster that both are fine enough that you don’t draft a qb this April.

If you cant see that even with our defense playing better now than when rattler was starting, that hes led us to the same amount of points 4 starts in that rattler did as a rookie (with an even worse roster) then thats on you. Shough is just as inconsistent against a softer schedule. Let's hope he improves and we can get some real pieces on the team next year at wr and interior oline

Darnold and Jones have proven that it can take multiple years and the right situation to excel, and I hope we have that with one of these guys.

Better option? Yet to be seen, but to act like shough is far and away better like some posters on this board is mathematically false as shite

I don’t disagree with you re giving up on Rattler but your starting of this thread shows you have an agenda. Try not to be so transparent.
