This team lacks depth, playmakers, and has to many older vets past their prime.

Saints depth took a hit so the organization can get out of cap hell. They are in a great position to bolster the roster(defense) with a top 10 draft pick and free agency.

Ellen has no game plan going into these games. It's evident with the slow starts. Dude comes in there and calls whatever plays.

They need to trade down in the draft and get more picks, but Loomis thinks he’s one player away, so they trade away picks and move up.

You're right, but penalties are not a result of depth. Scoring 6 points in the first quarter this year is not because of depth. Loomis should get a lot of blame, but this team is not well coached.
