Championship games are over and there should be little Super Bowl news until next. Feels like the best time for an announcement to not take attention away from the game

The key is getting a team to want him as their first choice. I don’t think it will happen. Also are they looking for an offensive mind or a defensive. I think the offensive model is the way most teams are looking. San Fran DC should be the top defensive coach out there.

I think he is denver and Arizona's 1st choice. The question is whether the difference between choice 1 and 2 is worth the draft capital

Broncos pick is now set at #29 or #30 if you include dolphins' void pick

Guess the league forgot to think far enough ahead to the draft to say how they’re going to treat Cindy’s pick. My guess is they do winning percentage and Cincy will be 28, SF ends up at 29, and KC & Philly get 30 & 31

The NFL does not like other NFL news distracting from their big game promotion.

Arizona interviewing another candidate. Payton may end up back at Fox if this continues much longer.

The teams still need to do their due diligence and make sure they get their Rooney Rule interviews too

Do you know who Lou Anarumo is? Not a Rooney Rule candidate.

Yeah, after he announces he's going back to Fox to stiff us again. This FO is a disaster and so is the organization. They got lucky once in an era with Payton/Brees. Probably will never happen again in my lifetime especially looking at how they're handling things now.

When he announces himself going back to FOX I'll be sure to notch another one on my brown paper bag helmet made for the dome.

Was not suggesting that he is necessarily a Rooney Rule person; juts pointing out that teams still need to continue interviewing until they have the contract/trade completed. He would fall under the doing their due diligence.

It is either that they are trying to leverage the Saints or have moved past Payton. They have already interviewed Evero, Flores, Glenn and Joseph and have been turned down by Ryans, Quinn and Reich for interviews. Now they are supposedly trying to interview Anarumo and Callahan. They have already checked the box for the Rooney Rule.

40 years of being the rug of the NFL at the bottom of the barrel says otherwise.

Saints are a dogshit organization historically. Payton/Brees were the best thing to happen to it and we'll never get that lucky again.

Depressingly negative but probably the truth.
