This is exactly what I was a afraid of when we signed Carr

Same kinda thing happened in LV with him. Likeable guy, family man, quality leader but could never win you big games.
He isn’t someone destined for a SB.
We should accept that now. Way too much talent around him to continue making excuses.
Yes our head coach sucks, but some or the blame always has to be on the QB.
Gonna be playing lots of Sunday golf.

He’s an average QB. He needs good players and good play calling.
This offensive line is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. WRs are good until MT13 quits on this team. Play calling is awful.
Carr isn’t gonna win you games. We just need him not to lose games which he is doing. Defense isn’t as good as advertised either.
This is just a bad team.

Yeah but sometimes a good player can adlib and be successful despite the coach.
I can’t say I’ve ever seen a more pathetic finish as a team is trying to tie a game.

I haven’t been more mad at a game in years until today after realizing a QB who was given that many opportunities against an average team in the 4th looked like a total dud.

Carr didn’t call Hill and AK up the middle on first down in the red zone. you have to keep the defense off balance when you have the OL we do. We did that a lot of the day then get in the red zone and go full Pete.

It’s the QBs job to know strengths and weaknesses with the players he has and move accordingly in the pocket to produce in ways not always drawn up.
Carr is not even close to being that guy.

He’s meh and he’s a beta. I’m sure he’s a quality dude off the field. He’s not a good quarterback or a good leader.

the problem with this team is we have an o-line that only gives you 2-3 seconds to throw it yet pete is designing entire game plans full of plays that need 5-6 seconds for guys to come open
thats why carr is so banged up
the coaches put him in positions where he cannot succeed.

What is he supposed to do? Override the play? He’s not an elite QB but he’s serviceable. We definitely should draft a QB and move on but I don’t understand all the Carr hate. He’s fine. The terrible OL play (despite many high picks) and coaching is the problem.
