This is a Quarterback driven league. Why do some do not understand the RW3 situation?

Just look at Tampa Bay for example with Brady. The QB is the most important player on the field and to make it all the way you have to go all in to get Wilson. Russell throws the deep ball better than anyone and is a future Hall of famer.
Lots of fans on here and mostly Facebook just don't understand it takes 3 first round picks and atleast two starters to make the trade. Look what it took for the Rams and Detroit trade.

I would offer them Taysom, Lattimore, 2 first and a 3rd.

Get it done.

That's a fair offer, but I don't think they want taysom. We might have to trade with someone that has a high draft pick and then trade that to seattle. Have to give them the ability to get a qb they can sell.

How often does a QB with a top 5 salary even play in the SB though? There’s probably a reason it rarely (I think Manning in 2006 was the last to win it) happens.

It would make me want to vomit but I honestly think I'd do 3 firsts for RW if that's what it took.

Tampa didn’t have to give up anything to get Brady. Sort of a big difference.

See the issue right now is that we have had good picks (Mccoy, cgj, trautman) in the past few years. But we haven't had anything as amazing as that 2017 class.

We're right at the edge where young talent aren't cost controlled anymore and with the cap falling there is gonna be a talent dip. How bad idk until the cuts finish.

That being said: can our team afford to give up 6 starters/potential starter picks? 4 of which would be rookie talent? I just don't know...

If we won 2 years ago and Brees retired it's a no brainer. Right now, I'm not sure we're in the ideal situation

You do whatever it takes to get a HOF QB

Wilson will make up for a lot of that.

He doesn't have to have a top 5 line.

You can make up for it elsewhere.

There is two schools of thought here. If we go all out now and get Wilson it puts us in good position to win a super bowl if we can keep the team relatively intact. On the other hand, Russel Wilson turns 33 this year. Is it worth giving of a bunch of picks and assets for someone that might only be in the league another 5 years or so give or take. Like I would be all in on getting a 25 year old Deshaun Watson but that is a lot to give up for a 33 year old player. I don’t hate it and I think it puts us back in super bowl position but we don’t know how long Wilson will play for and how long before he starts to digress

I’ll give them taysom hill, Andrea peat, Michael Thomas, 3 firsts, two seconds and 10 million in cash considerations

Dude above me complaining about getting a 32 year old player. That’s an 8-10 year window to win Super Bowls. You do it everytime, what you smoking?

The Tom Brady example was to show the audience that a top tier quarterback was needed to take Tampa over the top. For them to boost their roster to the Super Bowl.

It didn't say anything about a Tom Brady trade.

I know this will be unpopular but would your trade Kamara and a 2nd for Wilson?

Since 2000 (so last 20 SBs), there has been 3 instances in which the winning QB was ranked among top 5 highest paid QBs that year. So 17 instances where this wasn’t the case. In many cases, the winning QB wasn’t even top 10 or 15. Also 1 of those 3 instances was P. Manning in 2015 where his team won in spite of his play. So really 2 revenant cases (another was Eli in 2007 who had a bad regular season).

Yet you guys want to trade everything needed to get Wilson so he can be on a more depleted team. All to get a maybe a year or two before the team is further depleted because of this trade.

You cannot ignore that they didn’t give up anything significant to get him. 2020 Brady would’ve only been capable of so much elevation if the team was more depleted because of a monster trade.
