I have no doubt that Fournette could do what McCaffery can do.

He will catch the ball out of the backfield as good as anyone....
Bigger, stronger, faster....
You draft a RB to be a RB....McCaffery might be a better WR, but you're drafting a RB not WR...

Teams would give their left arm for that chance at 11. We could clean house in the draft if this happened.

Word is that Carolina will take McCaffrey.

Carolina is dumb if they do that...but im hoping they do. Would hate to see an offense with both Cam and lf7 in the backfield Olsen at te and Benjamin being 100% this year. Do we really want this problem?

Fournette fits Carolina much more than Mccaffrey.

Opposite can be said for the Saints.

Hypothetically, if Fournette is there I think you have to take him

Absolutely do not take Fournette. Dude goes silent and gets shut down in big games by good defenses. Imagine how much he will bust in the nfl. The dude has bust written all over him and is not the ideal modern day running back. That would be Dalvin Cook or McCaffrey.

I still think Cincy drafts Foster. That's their type of player all over the place. I also can see Allen sliding until mid to late teens. I think Jacksonville will take Fournette, NYJ take Watson, Panthers get McCaffrey. At 9 goes Foster with Buffalo on the clock. We'll have our pick of the litter it's just if we take who everyone is predicting (Barnett) like Rankins last year. Personally I'd love Barnett. The guy was super productive even when teams schemed specifically to shut him down. Barnett and Cam as our ends, Rankins and Fairley as our D tackles.
At 32 (assuming we get Butler) I say another CB or LB.

I'm with you, whats the point of drafting a running Back that is really a slot receiver? I didn't like it when Bush was here either. Not only does this take your best run threat off of the field, but screams to the defense that we're passing the ball (at least the way Payton and company have done things recently.) If McCaffery is the pick, I want to see Marshall Faulk/ Tomlison type usage. They both had to put on some mass to do it, but it turned out just fine through out their careers.

Yeah, this is a terrible idea because our offense sucked so bad with Reggie and Sproles. Defense knew we were passing and they just shut us down!
Now to get serious, McCaffrey would be a slam dunk pick for us and would make our offense unstoppable. I would pick him ahead of Fournette for our offense.

You run to the God damn podium if Fournette is available, period. He's a once in a generation talent at RB and is literally a better value than anyone else available.

Fournette running behind our O-line will be a monster. Do you know what kinds of holes that would open up on the outside? Did you see what Michael Thomas did against triple teams last year? Imagine getting single coverage all game long.

Can Fournette stop opposing offenses from scoring 21+ a game?

Can he average 4 yards a carry and stop our stupid amount of 3 and outs, as well as dumb turnovers from throwing all game long?

The D isn't all that's wrong with this team. Our offense has issues staying on the field, too. He goes a long way to addressing that issue, as well.

Hey B$.....,Fournette ran against 11 guys in the box on almost every play of his career because of Ex-Coach Miles play calling. When everybody on earth knows the call and you still get 1700 yards plus in a season in the SEC. Well you can see his talent. Zeke flew into BR last year to watch LF7 and said he was the MAN.

You understand in the NFL in space LF7 will be a superstar.....but it is just a wait and see. Not saying the Saints will or should take him. But you Cannot say that LF7 is crap.

I do not want a RB in the first round, but I think you have to take Fournette if he somehow slides to 11. I seriously doubt we have this problem but I feel you have to pull the bite bullet, take him, and go defense after that.

You never pass on a talent like Fournette for need.
