No wonder this guy is in the MVP conversation, he has to throw 5 touchdowns a game just to keep up. 6 TDS, 51 points, and you get the L? Wow.

Dude had two shots to win the game. He failed. Terrible decisions on those throws. He’s not MVP because a MVP goes down the field and wins the big game.

Its not an either or proposition.

We can have both and we still own the tiebreaker

Brees 1 interception all season, Mahomes 3 in 1 game

Brees > Mahomes

All I know is that with the game on the line, 1:50 on the clock, and three timeouts, Drew Brees is going down that field, and the Saints are scoring.

I get your point, but your view isn't really "how it works" either. One performance cab shift the media narrative.

Fair enough but Can you think of one game that cost a guy? Maybe if it was the last game but not game 11

Really the only 1 I can think of where arguably 1 game won it for some one was Emmitt Smith in 93 rushing for like 160 vs the NYG with 2 separated shoulders but that was game 16 and clinched the division and #1 seed for Dallas, A loss meant the WC and a game the next week if he has that game week 11 no one remembers it.

If KC goes 14-2 or 13-3 and is the #1 seed no one will give a flying frick about 5 turnovers (the last of which was in desperation mode) in this 1 game. If they slide out of the top 2 seeds they will have to lose again so no one will single out this game either. Like I said I think Brees will win regardless but this game won’t cost Mahomes.

Rams get five turnovers and still give up 51 points. Saints are better than both of these teams. Credit a 68 yard punt by Hekker to pin the Chiefs back for the final drive. Even a 48 yard punt may have given the Chiefs a chance to kick a field goal to tie.

This. Then they had another shot with one minute and one timeout. Only needed a FG on either drive.

I’m supremely confident Brees gets you at least that given one chance, much less two. He probably gets the TD to win. That’s what an MVP does.

Y’all are being such prisoners of the moment

KC is still the 1 seed, they have a bye then @Raiders, Ravens @Seahawks Raiders they will be favored in all those games if they go 14-2 no one will care Mahomes had 5 turnsovers in 1 game. If they lose 1 or more of the last 5, those games will factor in too.

FYI the season isn’t over for the Saints either. A loss for the Saints could be more costly. But like I said I think Brees will win anyway so it’s a moot point
