you are a complete fricking tool bag and only show up here when things are shitty and you think you have some fricking brilliant input to shite on the organization about something. you offer nothing else.

Kinda puts a dampener on the poli board.

The Saints operate within their own universe, which is how a team with no hope of contending ends up trading a fourth-round pick for a 27-year-old wide receiver in Vele. He has four catches for 29 yards through six games, and although he was injured at one point in September, the former Broncos wideout has gone catchless while playing 33 snaps over the past two games.
GM Mickey Loomis' attempt to bring back the good old days by signing former Saints hasn't panned out. Cooks, playing ahead of Vele, is averaging 0.7 yards per route run. That's 56th out of the 60 wideouts who have run 150 or more routes this season
ESPN's take

I imagine this thread will be avoided like the plague by some that posted in it. Entering yesterday, vele was ranked 33 out of 88 wrs by PFF. And oh yeah, he had 5 catches for 69 yards, and they were some tough catches.
Criticism of the FO should probably take a leave of absence for at least a couple weeks. The vele trade and this draft class are looking strong right now

That coupled with the Fortner trade plus getting anything more than a bag of chips for Penning. Competent moves in the last 6 months are hard to figure. It’s been a while.

So many bad takes. Bilj is especially the embarrassing kind of a-hole.

Naw, baws coming out with, I can't believe we traded for another injured WR!

You deserve this one after eating Vele shite for 10 weeks Big C
Posted on 12/15/25 at 6:51 am to Chad504boy
I hope he is OK. Not sure the injury and severity.

Left arm was in a sling post game.

This thread epitomizes the retard culture of this board. Can’t forget to blame Mickey for every move either, and if a trade or pick hits then well, he didn’t contribute to the decision at all. Not like Payton made most of the dumb shite decisions that put us in a bad spot either, definitely not.
The ultra hate for Shuck from day 1 is particularly funny. Can’t walk that back

Vele still doesn't have 300 yards for the season my dude.
And we aren't making the playoffs.
And he just turned 28
You were the one pushing to evaluate the move at the end of the year irrationally.
Or are you going to re-frame the analytical window again?

Mate, he was traded for a fourth round pick. If he’s WR3 (he is looking more like a 2 with Shough) that is good value.

Dig in. I guess you have to at this point, or you could admit you were wrong

I mean he's held his nuts so hard on these guys the last few weeks that he's sterilized himself.

I think the big issue is that people are doing the irrational fan thing and overrating us because we showed some life the last couple of weeks. They're focusing on the now and are being excited/emotional.
Let's say this continues. We can run out the "reasonable best case" scenario. We will likely be a playoff team in 2027. Vele will be 30 and in line for an extension. Unless he takes a huge haircut, we can't justify that extension. So then we don't have Vele for that playoff window.
On the other hand our hypothetical 4th rounder would be 24-25 with a few more years of cost control in that window. This doesn't guarantee any production in that window but it is more likely than Vele's hypothetical production.
Remember in this reasonable best case, Olave is making $25M AAV min and likely closer to $30M AAV
This has always been the problem. Even in the best case scenario it doesn't make sense long term.
