Kenny Pickett, QB Pittsburgh (6-3, 217 pounds)

The Saints may be thinking differently about QB with concerns about Jameis Winston coming off a major knee injury and Taysom Hill's passing limitations and wide receiver isn't so big of an issue with Michael Thomas back in the fold. Pickett has the right solid all-around arm, accuracy, makeup and athleticism to fare well in Pete Carmichael's system as the true successor to Drew Brees.

I disagree, has this person seen the WR depth chart?

Malik willis' arm and athleticism don't impress you?

The way he can escape the pocket and throw on the run?

He would be perfect to pair with jameis so he can sit a year or two.

I don't think the saints will pick him. I think they wait for the next crop in 2023.

Honestly the hype seems high for Willis right now anyway, he might not even make it to our pick. But I agree, he looks awesome as a developmental prospect.

I like Pickett. He kind of reminds me of Billy Kilmer. Similar swagger and skill set

I just can't believe he'll fall toi #18... enough people have sung his praises that someone is going to fall in love long before we pick.

I've been saying since middle of last season Willis has by far the highest ceiling in this draft and it isn't particularly close. But Because of where he played he didn't see the speed he is about to see. So of the three first round QB projections he also has the lowest floor.

Willis is easily the most physically gifted QB in this class. The question surrounding him is does he have the unique intangibles it takes to be a good/great NFL QB? His ceiling is that of Josh Allen or he could be an RGIII type bust.

Why use a pick on Pickett when you have Jameis? Wouldn't the Saints desire to have a known commodity at QB and then use the draft to build the roster with young talent, like they've done for years now? Just look up and down the roster at the success they've had in the draft under Jeff Ireland (and honestly, look at other teams' rosters for Saints draftees as well).
