SB here we come then right?

Same chance with Carr in the short term

If we kept Dalton that is tanking buddy essentially

No we'd be slightly worse off and still a borderline playoff team. Nowhere near the first pick

And it would NOT usher us into what you consider a "SB window"

It would give us a better shot than with our cap issues and the years it will take to fix

now you would settle for being a "playoff team in perpetuity" - your words and what the Bills currently ARE.

No they're a Super Bowl contender

I wound t say he’s a bust, he played like crap last year but played pretty well the year before. He was a force in some games in 2021. Only reason why he got as much as he did this year.

You see Dalton and Carr as equals. The rest of the NFL disagrees with you buddy.

No theyre the epitome of what you are afraid of the Saints being with Carr, a playoff team that loses in the playoffs. Bills have been the AFC version of the Vikings.

Someone else callled it appropriately. Go be a fan of someone other team already because youre not rooting for the Saints it seems.

No it’s not reasonable it’s freaking retarded. The point is to be a SB contender. Of course you want to win it but you don’t “rebuild” after every season you don’t win. Allen is an elite QB that’s the most important building block. They have a potential SB window as long as he’s there and in his prime. They may not win it, like the Saints from 2017-2020, but you go for it. In the Saints situation being in win now mode just seems like delaying the inevitable. You don’t have to “tank” but can set your self up better for the future than they are doing.

And FYI if you think keeping Daltonis “tanking” go check his stats last year vs Carr and remember he didn’t have an elite WR or the league leading rusher

And getting a reasonably priced QB is not setting yourselves for the future all of the sudden?

He didn't have Josh MCdaniels either. Who is a horrible head coach.

There is a REASON no team wants Dalton to be the starter buddy.

Giants and Browns are paying 40/50 million for their QB's.

Rookie we want we cant get.

Dalton obviously we didnt want that again.

Carr was easily the best move we could make.

The Bills have been to the playoffs 4 years in a row, losing to KC twice once in the AFCCG and once in one of the greatest games in NFL history. And to Cincinnati with Allen not 100% healthy. Minnesota has only been twice in the time span and the 5 years they’ve had Cousins aka a better version of Carr. What Buffalo has done is more like the Saints 2017-2020 only with a younger QB. They are contenders for the foreseeable future. They may not win but they are one for the top teams in the league unfortunately in the same conference as Mahomes and Burrow. The Vikings are the upside for Saints at the moment

Bills have lost miserably in the playoffs especially in the last two seasons. They made the AFC ship over 2 years ago. Got Stefon Diggs questioning life.

Vikings, Dallas, GB, you name it they havent sniffed to SB.

So,they should just sign Andy Dalton and tank. All of them.

Is he reasonably priced? They will have to restructure next year or the year after

And Dennis Allen is Bill Walsh all of a sudden

there teams with worse options/starters , that they didn’t bring him doesn’t change the fact his stats were similar to Carr. In a vacuum yes Carr is better but I don’t see where Carr is enough of an upgrade to justify $100M guaranteed vs maybe $20M. Of course you can’t get one of the top QBs in this draft since you traded away your first rounder but they’re always next year. And you don’t have to rank, Carolina had the same record as the Saints last year and are now drafting a potential franchise QB. However you also don’t have to do what they did, reacting up to 1. Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Tua we’re all 5-10 picks

Uh Obviously he is. See Daniel Jones/Watson.

No, I’ve explained it, but you are either too dim to understand or just being intentionally obtuse. Josh Allen is not the same as Derek Carr just because he hasn’t been to a SB either. As long as Buffalo has him they are contenders. You do not get rid of 26 yo elite QBs just because of 2-3 tough playoff losses. The Saints had 3 straight 7-9 seasons with Brees who was 10 years older and I never said they should trade him and tank. So you can stop with that stupid strawman.

ETA There are tiers of QBs. Allen is in the top one. Prescott one below Carr/Cousins at least 2 below the top tier

My bad, that clearly makes him a better Head Coach. McDainels has been a good OC btw

Watson is a lot better than Carr talent wise, off field baggage is obviously a concern however the standard is not necessarily what other teams do, and again I must ask is the cap isn’t real which many on here contend then how is Jones overpaid?

Define "setting yourselves up for the future", please.

I don't think your definition meets the Josh Allen/SFP/H-town standard.

No idea what that means but doesn't meet your level of Karen either buddy. Your melting over Carr and wanted us to keep Dalton.

And everyone wants you to shut up.

Thats hilarious. Go compare their nfl combine numbers and get back to me bud.

I'll help - theyre numbers are almost identical athletically, 4.66 v. 4.69 forty times, similar vert/broad jumps, and Carr has the stronger arm by far.

Nice try though.

Hooker is only QB that may be in Saints draft pick range. Long gone by our picks.
