Winston is improving a lot. I was one of his biggest detractors but I actually think he’s going to be really good for several years here.

Siemien isn't the future, but he's proving to be an extremely valuable backup.
The only QB on the roster with the potential to be the Saints QB of the future, imo, is Jameis; and even then I don't think anyone is sold on him just yet.
I have the utmost confidence in CSP/Loomis to figure out the QB situation. They've made a lot good moves regarding that position over the years in regards to quality backups; I don't see why that should change going forward

Evidently Payton dint planned a long term solution after Brees. Don't think he will be here after 2022 Season. Adios Sean
Who would replace CSP in your world?

Did you just land...on the planet?

More like Saints future at WR is bleak

Honestly the Winston injury could be a blessing in disguise for Saints. They could bring him back on team friendly deal for multiple years.
I think he showed enough that he can be the franchise QB especially if it is at a very reasonable price tag.

We have some truly retarded “fans”. Good God.

You have to go all in on trying to get Rodgers or Wilson. Personally if we really wanted to set the franchise up for success long term they should trade for Watson. But I think there is 0% chance Gayle would sign off on that trade. There's only a handful of QBs that can lead a franchise to a Super Bowl. And if you don't have one you're just fighting for mediocrity.

As much as it sucks to see someone getting hurt, this isn’t a bad take. He didn’t show enough imo for teams to break the bank, we may could get him to a multi year contract. That could get us a few years to get lucky and land a good QB in the draft

quote:You have to know this is a terrible argument, right? Drew got waaaaay better under Sean, Teddy reignited his career, Taysom became an actual qb, Winston was much improved. And we have drafted 1 qb in the top 3 rounds his entire time here. So he was 0 for 1 and your argument is he can't develop qbs?
I thought they needed a young QB like a Rosen to try and develop. I forgot that Payton is NOT a developer of QB's. He signed Brees who already was developed by the Chargers. Now the Saints need to sign Wilson or Rogers for Payton to continue his success.

Good god you're an idiot. The Saints havent had the position in the draft to pick up a top quality QB out of College. So to pick up a top QB you have to trade for one. The Saints have picked up who they can. Lmao what the frick are you talking about with "Sean doesn't Develop QBs." Brees wasn't "Developed" by the Chargers. He was a top QB coming out of college from Purdu e. In fact the Chargers completely fricked up and brought in another shittier QB in Rivers while they still had Drew Brees. They didn't develop him. There isn't a lot of "Development" of QBs in the NFL. Also the last time the Saints had a pick close enough to grab a top QB, word got out that Payton wanted Mahomes. Andy Reid and the Chiefs traded up one spot ahead of the Saints and drafted Mahomes.

I think they go broke for Rodgers or Wilson so that Payton can get another Super Bowl then he rides off into the sunset while they figure out how to hell to make the money work out and we nosedive terribly.
