The rumor is that Cam Newton’s shoulder may need surgery

Granted, this is from their own fans but if Cam is actually hurt, I wonder when the Panthers may consider shutting him down. We may only face Cam once this year if we beat them on Monday.

He hasn’t been throwing at full strength the last few weeks. He looks terrible

He definitely needs surgery. When they decide to stop putting him out there is the question. People react to him not throwing the hail mary last week but the pass he threw before the hail mary was like 30 yards to the sideline and it looked like a 9 year old punt, pass, and kick kid threw it and Cam put everything into that throw.

Carolina right now reminds me of a Saints season back in the early 2000's. The Saints needed to win like 1 of their last 5 games to make the playoffs, but Aaron Brooks was playing hurt. Rather than bench him for the backup, Aaron kept playing, stunk it up, and the Saints lost all 5 games and missed the playoffs. That backup QB then went elsewhere the following season, became their starting QB, and led that team to the Super Bowl. That backup's name was Jake Delhomme.

Vikings win tomorrow, both Vikings and Seahawks win next week, and we beat them on Monday, they'll be done (no chance at a wild card) and will likely shut him down to save their investment.

God. Please. No.
Backup quarterbacks are the Saints Kryptonite.
Saints will make some career back up look like an All-Pro and lose on some big play near the end of the game

Was watching highlights, Cam's throw looked to have a weird hitch in it, like he was really laboring to make throws. He still had some zip on it, but it looked like a painful effort.
Or has his throw always looked like that?

Like the Failcants, Kitty Litter are in rebuilding mode.
Personnel shuffling yesterday and looking ahead to the draft.
I see White Flag being mailed to Payton by Wednesday from Carolina.

I noticed the same thing. After that first thrown I said there is no way he can even reach the end zone.

That was 2002. The Saints needed to win just one of their last 3 games and lost them all. Delhomme would go to the Panthers the next year and they'd lose the SB to the Patriots.

His throwing motion is all jacked up . Can’t believe he would continue to play for nothing.

Kind of looks like Peyton Manning in his last year, doesn't it?

That's how his throws have always looked and he's a notorious over thrower.

I think as long as they have a shot at the playoffs, they will play him. Their backup is Taylor Heinicke and he has very little experience.

The fact that they had 2nd and goal from the 3 and they didn’t try to run Cam one time tells me something is wrong.
Usually he is down right unstoppable when he only needs a couple yards.

Haslett was questioned about Brooks' injury and denied that he was hurt. Brooks had surgery at the end of the season. I hated Haslett for lying. But Ditka takes the crown for being most hated
