The Mannings + The Saints ?

They don't have anywhere near that kind of money.

As the front people for an ownership group with much much much deeper pockets, I would love it. But I doubt they want it.

Agree, but I do believe if she allowed the Mannings to possibly have some % of the team and run things etc that it could be a great partnership that would help the franchise along with the image it portrays with the league.

The Mannings could bring innovative and great things to the Franchise that could then help impact the city etc.

Having "active" leadership goes a lonnnnnnng way nowadays for franchises and cities.

Although now I think Peyton is living in the Denver area? Pretty helpful there? I know he still does stuff with Irsay in Indy from time to time....

Eli is still connected with the Giants org and living in NY.


Would be an interesting fit/take if it could all play out. Not sure if they would want to live down here when they have been raising their families in those other areas now... but if they wanted to get into ownership/management it's a win for everyone involved as New Orleans is not necessarily a "rebuild" but more so tapping into what it's full potential could be...

The issue with them joining the organization now is they would essentially be taking Lauscha and Loomis's jobs and those guys aren't going to fire themselves.

The Bensons didn't have that kind of money either when they bought the franchise. They put together a group of investors that got paid back quickly. I think the Mannings could do it and they do have enough money to get it started.

We are talking two completely different times and values. They are different worlds.

The Mannings will not be able to put together 3.5 billion themselves. Very few people can, which is why these teams either stay in families forever, or are bought by mega billionaires, or groups who pool money.

But one person needs to own 30% and the Mannings can't come near that, presently.

I wouldn't say they hate the saints? I just think their allegiances have been to other teams in the NFL because of their sons' tenure.

The Mannings hate LSU...this has nothing to do with the Saints.

The Mannings would be a disaster.

Archie was a “gee whiz we really tried hard” kind of guy with the Saints and had no passion to win. Seems like he lost it after leaving Ole Miss. As a radio announcer, he made Brees sound like a meth head on crack. He never held anyone accountable and was not inspirational in the least.

Then you have Peyton. He’s the polar opposite because he loved to throw coaches, teammates, etc under the bus when he couldn’t get the job done. He’s not a team player.

Eli…maybe the only likable Manning is just too dumb to pull it off. I wouldn’t want him managing a burger stand much less an NFL franchise.

They just want to do “fun stuff” like hawk destructive gambling apps and appear on tv occasionally. There’s nothing wrong with that but it doesn’t mean they’re management material.
