Yes, like i said, other than a head injury, how are these players not the same?

Maybe if Olave had produced and stayed healthy like Wilson had.

Hopefully he stays healthy through October and we can trade him for a good pick or picks.

I doubt the Saints move him unless some team makes a Godfather type of offer.

The Saints spent a lot to move up to take Olave in the first place.

I guess it doesn't matter that they got hustled big time in that deal.

fricking Eagles picked Jalen Carter in what would have been our draft slot the following year.

Five players have had at least 80 catches 1000 yards their first three seasons — Wilson, Chase, Jefferson, Odell and MT13

Wilson has caught balls from 8 different backup quality QBs

Go look at the actual stats of those other players then compare them to Wilson. For example, Odell had 1300 in 12 games his rookie season. Chase and Jefferson around 1400-1500. Wilson barely went over 1100. The other guys you mentioned? Oh let’s see, 1700, 1400, 1700.

This guy is in comparison to Olave statistically over their first 3 years. Go add up the other players you mentioned and tell me if he’s on the same trajectory as the players you mentioned. Wilson has been extremely overrated so far and played with Rodgers last year and still didn’t look like anything worth 130 million.

All that to say only five players have reached those markers in their first 3 years. Thats just the facts. Who said anything about trajectory?

Chase plays with burrow
Jefferson had cousins
Thomas had Brees
Odell had Eli

Wilson had guys like 41 year old Rodgers, Zach Wilson, Mike white, Flacco, Trevor Semien, Tim Boyle. Jet QBs have a 59.6 completion % since Garrett Wilson was drafted

So who has Olave had throwing him the ball? The stars are identical? I still wouldn’t pay or want to pay Olave 130 million dollars even without head injuries. You’re comparing Wilson to players who are setting records in receiving yards and having the most receiving yards in the nfl. It’s a silly comparison. I’m not paying 130 million to a player who hasn’t had over 1200 yards in a season.

Some of you guys were dropped on your head as a baby. Olave should be playing with one of those Guardian Caps after suffering that many concussions. Mickey would be a damn fool to offer him that type of money.

He played the majority of his games with Andy Dalton and Carr? 67%, 68% passers with the Saints. The cumulative average of saint passers in Olave’s three seasons in 65%

I’m sorry. That’s not a comparison. It’s the only 5 WR
In NFL history to hit 80/1000 their first three seasons

Somehow Rodgers isn’t better than Carr and now the Red Rocket is considered a good qb.

Olave has 13.5 yards per catch in his career.

Wilson is close to having a hundred more catches at this point in his career then Olave but is only averaging 11.6 a catch

Neither guy are big touchdown scores either.

Wilson 51 games played

Olave 39 games played

It'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers Wilson puts up this year with Justin Fields throwing to him

That's not to say that Olave might find it tough. Sledding with a rookie throwing to him or a second year quarterback with not a whole lot of experience.

Did you just wake up from a coma? Aaron Rodgers is 41 and just won 5 games and couldn’t ignite an offense that had Breece Hall, Davante Adams and Wilson

Carr was a 68.2% passer with the Saints. Dalton 66.7%. Rodgers 63% last year. You probably don’t care about statistics now

Looks like this entire board is wrong about Wilson and his "ranking" amongst the top WRs.

quote:

On talent, he's unquestionably a top-10 player. The way he slithers in and out of routes with elite flexibility is Justin Jefferson lite.

"He's one of the best separators in the league," an AFC executive said.

"He has produced in suboptimal circumstances," an NFL general manager said. "He would only grow in stature in another system more friendly to his skill set."

I like to think even the Saints aren't dumb enough to pay Olave anywhere near that.

I hope.

I can see something like a 3/yr $60 Million dollar heavy on the incentive side for him. Good Receivers cost money, that 2nd contract is often huge. He's had health issues, but when he's on the field, he's a difference maker. The combination of him and Shaheed is a good foundation, just need a playmaking TE or a true X to complete the trifecta.

Wilson is legit, one of the best out there.

Olave is a nice piece but he is not Garrett Wilson.
