He barely got hit this season. He doesn’t have to throw for 5k yards to be successful. And he can now manage the game with balance.... and he did all of this with his OL injured all throughout the season.

Even with his arm falling off, he can do this for a few more years.

Saying all that, I’d still sell out to take Baker Mayfield.

Agreed. Hopefully we can resign Drew to a team friendly deal considering he wont have to throw as much, and thus we can spend that money at keeping kelemente as a stud backup and keep ingram.

His arm is gone. No way he can play 3-5 Years. He underthrew a post route by 6 yards in a DOME

Brees isn't playing more than 2 years. Gonna collect another 50-60 million then spend time with his kids.

If he is there at 27, maybe. I definitely wouldn't want them to trade up for him though. But I tell you what. The possibility of adding an offensive weapon like Christian Kirk at 27 is really intriguing. Throwing him into the mix with what we already have on offense would be serious.

Of course this all depends on what we do in FA. If we choose to go after a Watkins or Landry, Kirk is obviously off the table.

It all hinges on how much money he wants.

Drew would rather 30+MM per year and go 8/8 than 20MM per year and go to the Super Bowl.

Johnny Manziel 2.0

In NOLA, he'd be dead in 3 years.

I was wondering if it were possible to extend his effectiveness by finding a capable, Earl Morrall-type of QB to absorb about 30-40% of the plays and keep him fresh for late season runs.

The answer is probably "no" but I'd love if we could find creative ways to keep him effective for a few years longer than what people expect.

It's like you completely shut out every great throw he made in the Carolina game just one week ago.

Brees still has enough in the tank. Hopefully he will take a friendly enough deal so we can put in more pieces around him to make another run (or two) and let Brees capture all of those career passer records

He then went 17/22 in the 2nd half for 3 TDs/0 Ints against the best defense in the NFL.

Guess he found it then

Agreed. And don’t forget about Strief. I think Ramczyk has firmly established himself as the starter at RT, but Strief would be an excellent backup and would probably welcome that role. It would extend his career at this point and he’s always been a team guy and a leader, so he’s going to take a cut if they ask him. And try and keep Kelemete as well. He proved to be extremely valuable with all the injuries. Very pleased with the O-line. Just need more of em’.

If we can keep Kelemete and Strief and add a G/C to the mix, I love our line.

Drew is fine. We need to find him a reliable TE.

LeRibeus (I'm assuming we re-sign him) & Cameron Tom will probably be here next year. That is, unless someone beats them out.
