I was watching the lady in front of me and she is HEAVILY addicted to her phone. It was quite sad. Her son and her friend were there with her the whole time and it was like she completely ignored them and everyone around her just to play on her phone.
Every two minutes, she’d unlock her phone, go to Instagram, look at the ‘story’ she just uploaded (a solo pic of her) and then check to see who looked at it, then she’d go to her profile and look at her pic to see if anyone liked/commented on it, over and over and over and over. I was honestly blown away that someone could be THAT obsessed with the shite.
People, we’ve got to put our phones down. There’s zero excuse and zero benefit of being so plugged in all the time
And yea, I realize this probably isn’t the best place for a rant like this, but this woman needs help, and there are probably a million other people just like her

This should be a thread for another board but I completely agree. Walking past a pretty girl in the gym, trying to make eye contact and give her a nod, no she’s walking around locked into the phone with no awareness to her surroundings. Leave your phone at home one day and just look at all the robots unaware of the real world, living their life through a screen. We are closer to Wall-E than people would admit.

We got all the guys together a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday to watch some games and get out the house for a bit, and halfway through the first quarter I looked around and EVERYONE was face down in their phones. What’s the point of even getting together anymore? fricking sucks man
