I remember staying at a hotel in Gainesville after seeing LSU lose to Florida in Oct 2000, and there was a FLA fan staying in the room next to me who saw me in an LSU shirt and carrying a Saints duffel bag and he said, “Wow, a fan of LSU and the Saints? That must be a hard life.” He was right.
Wouldn’t you know it, in a matter of 14 months, the Saints won a playoff game and LSU won an SEC Championship Game.
Who Dat and Geaux Tigers!!!

Nope.
Brooks fricked up that season.
We were like 7-3 with Blake and 3-3 with Brooks.

Blake led the team to a 7-3 start before getting hurt...Brooks was 3-4 regular season. He got the hype because everyone thought he was a random but where Blake was playing at that point in time is so understated.

Jeff Blake had the best deep ball I have ever seen. It was like God reached down from heaven, grabbed the ball, ans softly inserted it into the receiver's hands.
