This is going to suck so badly when they announce he’s returning. But he’s definitely going to get another year. The only way that doesn’t happen is if Payton agreed to come back.

They were keeping him already.
Besides, it's better for us to have him another year anyway at this point. We will have no cap room this offseason & we don't have a 1st. The roster will absolutely get worse. Let Allen stink it up one more season, fire him respectably, and then we can hire "the guy" with a top 8 pick available

Agreed… they were going to bring him back to captain us through a tank season anyway. In the scenario you want a totally disposable coach who couldn’t win his way out of the top 5 even if he wanted to

He barely beat a 5 win team. Failing to kick the FG at the end of the game is one more reason on the season to fire him.
If he doesn’t cut David Johnson tomorrow for that fumble, that’s another reason to cut him.

Yep ! Even when you benefit with a loss, the saints find a way to win.
But seriously, there might have been a young boy or girl experiencing their their first Saints game in their lives. You can’t ask the Saints to tank. You do play to win the game and the saints did that. But a couple extra wins might keep the saints from drafting the next Aaron Donald or the next josh Allen.
