although reggie does not put up huge numbers from week to week, i feel that he is an integral part of payton's offense. just him being on the field forces the defense to respect and gameplan for him which in turn helps brees and all of his receivers.

i never once said i didnt see this.
, but i think you could do some similar things with ginn, and get the bonus of draft pick(s) and keeping payroll down. i know exactly what bush does for this team and have been a huge supporter of him even when that wasn't cool.
ok. i'm just saying sometimes there are things you do , moves you make to stay at the top, and if you think something like this is out of the question , in the future you have your eyes closed.

we are 5-0, with the #1 offense and a top 10 defense, what more do you want?

ginn, and get the bonus of draft pick(s)
if you think the miami front office would actually do that then you must be drunk.

well i brought thus up because miami is supposed to be shoppping him before the trade deadline
First of all, trade deadline was 10/20/09
Second, trading ginn for reggie would be assinine
there is so much more that reggie does for this team and offense than ginn could ever hope to
everytime a new hot prospect comes along some in the fan base want us to go after him. This frachise has made some bone head deals in the past picking up players like jason david, aaron brooks, the billy joes, ken stabler (after his prime) the list goe on and on
Now we get a RB/WR/Punt Returner who can truly turn a game around in seconds (and has more than once) and you guys want to trade him for a second string wr who is injury prone and a draft pick that may or may not work out. Why? because someone is shopping him. BRILLIANT!
It is this kind of thinking that kept us at the bottom of the league for years. Fortunately the front office is smarter than you guys.

I would rather see us ship out a WR like Henderson for a late 2nd rounder so we can convert Reggie to a WR. The one position we don't need to upgrade is WR unless we are talking someone like Bowe or Boldin. Would love to see a 3 receiver set with Colston, Bowe and Meachem, very physical set.

reggie for ginn plus maybe miami's first this year seem pretty good
First of all, I wouldn't trade Bush right now unless a REALLY sweet deal was offered. We have great chemistry going and he is a contributing cog in the machine. I have a feeling he will come up really big in the punt return game at some point this season. But if you are seriously talking trade then you must be smoking crack if you think any team in the NFL would offer a 1st round pick for Bush (much less throw Ginn in the mix).

wow, I missed this one. It is a
Maybe a worst thread of the week nominee cuz the OP 1) has no clue about Reggie's contract to think it is even possible 2)posts it after the trade deadline has passed 3)makes no credible case for the deal

Posted on 10/22/09 at 10:56 am to thecreelymac
Don't need him. We are loaded at WR
Posted on 10/22/09 at 11:08 am to thecreelymac
Wow trade Reggie? I've never thought of that. Maybe we can ship him away for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Next year's draft. Thoughts?????
