Why is there sections of the roof missing paint? Looks like shite. From taking off the Benz signature?

short answer during the Fox 8 live coverage... yes

it was in the area where they were removing the Mercedes Benz stuff and prepping to put down the Caesar's markings

it was apparently much more convoluted than just 'cover up and paint over'

The Bloodhound Gang should perform at halftime when the dome reopens.

Jesus.....

That's not missing paint. That's just dirt. They've been pressure washing the roof since last week.

My God New Orleans is such an absolute shithole. Burn the entire city down with the mayor in the middle of it.

Was anyone else at that game in the 90’s against the 49ers when there was a small fire inside the ceiling of the Dome and then it fell on the field?

I was there. That was a long time ago.

it was 1991... I was 6 years old

Saints beat the 49ers that day 10-3

and went on to win the NFC West... 1st ever division title

ETA: 49ers didn't even make the playoffs that year... even with a 10-6 record

another team that shall remain nameless from the NFC West made the playoffs as a Wild Card that season... and we won't discuss how that went

Thanks for posting that.

It had been so long, and I never saw it from TV angle. That was awesome. I remember everything and laughed out loud at the time at the guy who ran out and threw a cup of ice on it.

I was there. Loved seeing the staff before the sack fell trying to pick up the embers on the turf and dropping them like it's hot, in which it was

I hope the plan is to paint around the "Caesars Superdome" to color that section in. If not, when they painted over the "Mercedes Benz Superdome" they did it with white paint; and the dome's roof is not pure white which shows the contrast.

I wish I could say I’m surprised but this is the same venue that is too lazy to paint solid black or gold endzones for the 8 regular season home games they hold each year.

How much does Sherwin-Williams paint pay you per post?

All the players should surround the building and sing the black national anthem. :rotflmao:

That was fricking awesome. Thank you for pointing that video out. THAT was when football was fun. Thanks for that jog. It’s cool to see it was as big of a deal as I remember.

OP really needs to post an update that fire was put out and it was just on the putter surface in the gutter.

Everyone is still reacting as if it’s still burning and making a hole.
