Anyone has any news on him? Has he been released yet? I have not seen any news on him.

Be prepared for a big let down this free agency. We will need to strike gold again in the draft. Hard to do that back to back years but it’s possible.

Not released yet! Suppose to get released tomorrow, also it will turn into a bidding war for his services so I don't see use being in play.

We did well last year signing good FAs that didn’t break the bank and fill out the roster in multiple positions. How is it that people thought we were going to sign: Graham, Butler, Richardson, Suh/Wilkerson? Anyone of those players would have cost us near the rest of our cap space.
This bullshite bitching really isn’t surprising though. It happens every year. Look at this year, we sign a safety to a market fair deal and people complain that we overpaid. Other teams are signing guys to huge, bloated contracts and people complain. FA and the draft are excusing for many Saints fans to channel their inner woman and complain no matter the outcome.
We are in a lot of conversations and teams are out bidding us for these players. It happens. I would rather them pass on these higher priced players and make move like we did last season.

High priced free agents have never worked out for us. What we need is to sign guys like Klein, Fairley, Robertson, Sharper etc

It’s refreshinf to see how they’ve handled FA two years now. Sticking with a price and not going over on it. No flashy moves, nothing that will hurt them in the future when guys like Mike, Kamara, etc will need their new deals. It’s smart.
Maybe they get Suh. Maybe the Badger. But their focus seems to be low key moves and the draft.

Yep we went in win now mode in 2013 and 14, and after slowly settled down. We have a good team already and everyone coming back healthy I’m assuming at least. Get some Klein, G Robertson, Okafor type players and maybe make 1 big splash ( which could be Okafor again) and even a decent draft and we good.

We gonna have many big decisions in a few years with some of these players. Saying that, by the time they are up I assume Brees is gone and that will free up a lot of money. I mean we are talking after his contract runs out and with Kamara a year after that but we’d have 5th year option on Lattimore. I like keeping our salary cap in good shape. We’ve done well with cheap FAs, for the most part, last couple years.

Drew just didn’t take less for us to not make a decent splash. He didn’t take less so in 2 years we have cap space when he’s done I can promise you that. He did it to win now so they need to make a move and a big one like Suh or a trade.
