A linebacker from the Falcons of all teams is definitely nothing to get excited over.

I'm going to assume this is Special Teams/Camp body. I know nothing about this dude at all.

You'll be singing a different tune after Joe Vitt coaches him up.

Yeah just looking around he is a Special Teams guy, LB depth, and is relatively adequate in limited work. Depth. We lost Humber and Hawthorne.

@cmdabe: New #Saints LB Nate Stupar played last two seasons with Falcons. Picked in 7th round by Raiders in 2012. Attended Penn State.

Drafted by Dennis Allen in Oakland in 2012...
Guy just had a baby, could be just a good ole boy signing...
Get him on the Practice Squad, get the guy a check.

Mandatory white player comparison

2015 Nate Stupar 33 tackles 7 assist 1 sack 2 pass deflects
2005 Scott Shanle 34 tackles 11 assist 1.5 sacks 2 pass deflects

In Stupar's defense he started 3 games where Shanle started 8. I dont know what these stats mean in comparison to each other due to the changing nature of the game but at minimum we have a good depth player...which means he will probably end up starting.

We also didn't re-sign James Anderson. We're pretty thin at LB depth considering Edebali is just a pass rusher, Tull hasn't played a snap yet, and Mauti is a special teamer. There's a chance this guy actually gets decent playing time, b/c Ellerbe is always hurt and Kikaha is still below average at stopping the run.
