Some of these players I have a hard time not liking. I’m friends with a guy who knows Byrd really well and that situation was just bad for both sides. Byrd and the team knew he was still hurt but both felt like he’d fully recover but took much longer to than thought and caught a knee injury on top of things. From what I’ve heard he really was busting his arse to do well for the Saints, plus he was babysitting Browner and whatever else shitty #2 CBs we had.
Fred Thomas got old quick and age dropped him like an anchor, Jason David didn’t fit our D. Also, from someone I know close to the organization somewhat now but was more so back in the early 2000s Aaron Brooks smiling was blown way out of proportion. It was a big deal on espn once. From what I’ve heard he was a pretty good competitor in actuality and hated losing. It was well known how much he was upset how everything ended for him in NO.
Now my choice was Gallette but I understand the Sullivan one also. He was pure lazy

TBH, I have a few memories of being pissed off about his play coming back from games. And I cant separate the ones before katrina from the ones after katrina. So I bookended it to make sure
