After watching the playoff games, there is so much luck involved it's crazy. Like all the turnovers and weird bounces. That's all that we were missing this year honestly. I think we turn it around with Spags but honestly, the 9-7 Giants are not better than the Saints, Pack, and 49ers

I like the part where he says less Cover Zero.

if you are pointing towards the "weird bounce" that hit the #10's knee when he was running towards a bouncing punt, then it's not weird or lucky.

I want to ask him, what were you gonna do? Why was he even running to it? It's pretty standard rule of returning to stay the frick away from the ball when it is rolling. Occasionally you see someone field it off a bounce but that's only when no one is around and it bounces right into their hands. You don't play with this shite in the playoffs.

I was laughing so hard in the bar I was watching it when he ran back the KO for like 40-50 yds right after that and they instantly queue the replay of the knee bounce.

One of the dumbest plays I've seen in playoff history.

Spagnuolo can now mold the Saints defense in his likeness, which will involve less cover-zero and risky blitzing than the Saints ran under Gregg Williams.

Awesome! This guy wants to win unlike Williams! And he's a former head coach!

Just remember, the same people who were excited about Williams were the same ones saying he sucks the past few weeks. Of course everyone is excited by a new hire, especially a "name".

Saints talk reacts to Gregg Williams signing

Williams was a good hire and is a good coach, just like Spags

But it was good for both sides for there to be a change

im tired of sending 5-6 guys to pressure, then getting no pressure, and giving up a 15 yard completion on 3rd and 10

the real question is, will Spags get different results when he sends 5/6.

my money is on no, becuase i think we have player problems.

im not a negasaint, but i just dont think we have any pure pass-rushers on our roster, and if GW couldnt generate pressure with his confusing looks, i dont think anyone can until we start to bring in new players.

hopedully Payton will allow Spags to go out and get a few guys who can excel in his brand of defense. If it involves pressuring the QB, he'll probably have to.
