When we drafted Jenkins we didn't know what we had with Greer and Porter

I think the front office had a pretty decent idea. Maybe Greer was better than they thought, and I know Porter missed a lot of time, but I seriously doubt they thought Jenkins would start.

I agree though it was possible where Robinson has no chance.

Thats fine, but you still used your first round pick on depth.

It looks to me the saints were going best player available. obviously Robinson was rated higher than anyone on their board.

we needed a solid player at 32 and i think we got one. we did not need a franchise savior

do you realize how many teams spread the ball out, run 3 receiver sets, etc? I guess technically it is depth, but he will see the field often with the way teams throw the ball.

It's got everything to do with that we have 2 starting cb's already.

Best case scenario they stay healthy, and he is our 3rd corner

Yeah but it's becoming apparent in this league that to be successful on defense you need 3-4 quality corners. Look at the Jets...they have two PRO BOWL CBs and they drafted one. You have many more teams running out of 3 WR formations than every before.

What's going to happen on Thanksgiving when we're playing Dallas with that quad horse of receiving threats. At least you know now you got enough depth to play man everytime if you have to.

Your opinion and entitled to it.

I think differently. I think they drafted Jenkins in the top 15 to be a starting corner

Won't argue that, congrats fine. Patrick Robinson was rated higher than Jimmy clausen. Good for him

If you take a team from the worst in the league to winning a Super Bowl in 4 years, I think you get some slack from your fan base. This was not a terrible move. I was shocked at first, but the more you think about it, the more sense it makes. Even if they get Sharper back, he is only good for 2-3 more seasons at best. You have got to get someone to safety, and this move allows Jenkins to be moved to the position he should be playing in the pros, FS. Plus, don't forget the JB gives the Saints a valuable bargaining chip to acquire another 2nd round pick.

Wow...Seriously? I for one trust Loomis, Payton, Williams. After we picked Robinson, I said Championship! (put it on the board)

To me its an obvious message to Sharper that bridges are burned and we are moving on. Jenkins will make the transition to safety and Robinson will fit because GWs system needs MANY good cover corners.

Im really shocked ppl can complain about this regime running this organization, but maybe im still on my Superbowl high

As I stated earlier, the Jets #1 Def. used a 1st rounder on third corner. Stupid #1 def.

Greer getting hurt cost us a TD in the super bowl.

this was a good pick.

ok, fine. But was this the best to place to find #3 or #4?

Completely different situation. A) Their front 7 pretty well stacked B) one of their pro bowl corners is a knuckle head whose previous team let him go for a 3rd rounder.

I don't know why don't you tell me which one of our corners or OLB's is going to cover whitten?

This is what I am starting to thing led to this pick, but really, while it helps improve our DB depth, we are still putting a lot of eggs into our 4th, 7th, and 2 UFA LBers to make up step up.

Even more, we are desperately thin at DT and relying on Pressley to hit his stride here. Realize Clancy retired.
