You'll feel better watching Minnesota lose to New England. Just like seeing San Fran lose that year too.

It doesn't help that they have one of the hardest schedules next year and Brees will be one year older. This was their time.

Now I kinda wish the Saints had just gone ahead and got blown the frick out.

To their credit....team showed a lot.

Coming back from 17-zip in the playoffs on the road rarely happens.

We've done it twice only to be heartbroken.

Right now the shock of this loss is worse, but in a few days we'll all realize we're still a year away with the talent we got, especially having 20 players on IR. The 2012 team was built to win that year and we lost in a shootout. We had tonight won and blew it, so it hurts more now, but it won't in the long run

I've seen just as bad, as a Saints fan. Like Johnnie Poe waiting on a Vince Ferragamo duck that he basically could have called a fair catch on, to seal the first playoff season in Saints history, only to drop it, and the Rams get into FG range the next play. And send the Cowboys instead.

This wasn't quite as bad as that, because I know Brees, Kamara, Thomas and the defense will be back next year.

The Saints 3rd Down Coversion rate wasn't gonna beat NE in the SB, thus what was lost is a win at Philly and a SB appearance...

Stings, and I hate it for Drew Brees last few chances, but the Lombardi was going to NE in the end, either way.

had lead twice in 4th quarter after being way down just like against san fran. this was a worse finish. we found and almost impossible way to lose and we did just that.

NFL changes year by year. Nobody has an idea of next year schedule beimg hard until they are about halfway through it

Saints need another rb behind Lamar and ingram. Maybe a late round draft pick or a free agent guy, and definitely need to pack that defense with some good players and another guy to help cam Jordan out. Who are the saints grooming to be their next qb to take over from brees. Think brees still got it in him for few more years but definitely need to prepare someone for the future. Havent even seen the next guy as a backup whoever that is.

You are correct. No guarantee the Saints beat the Eagles or Patriots

The Saints were without hope for three quarters, stormed back, took the lead twice and had the win in their back pocket. Because of an ABSOLUTE MIRACLE PLAY on the last play of the game with time expiring, the Vikes are the recipients of the victory.

Vikes needed and absolute miracle to win and they got it. They know how fortunate they are to get the win and advance. They have had LOTS of very bad luck in their history and I feel certain that they know that they got a Gift from Heaven.

I don't believe that the Saints have reason to be significantly depressed or hurt about this Miracle. It was bad luck for NOLA and good luck for Minny. Minny thought that they were the greatly superior team but they were proven wrong -- they needed an Absolute Miracle to win and they got it.

I'm not even mad.

shite hasn't even set in for me yet, I'm still in that "WTF happened?" phase. Next week is gonna suck though.

Leonard Fournette dominating the rest of the playoffs is the only thing that will salvage this football season for me.

this one is more disappointing I think. Our defense this year was way better than 2011 unit. Yet both collapsed at the end like a ton of bricks.

we had the GOAT Saints offense in 2011 but overall as a team I think this 2017 squad was better.
