Someone 'splain how the playoffs work....

I never realized that it was not between only two teams for who the number 1 seed team played. What is the formula?


I know. I'm dumb. It is just that the Saints have never been the number 1 seed before...

Saints play the lowest remaining seed, while the Vikes play the second lowest remaining seed.

Isn't it easier to say Vikings play highest remaining seed, not second lowest remaining seed

No because then they would be playing the Saints. I just think of it as we play the lowest seed and the Vikings get whoever is left.

The Saints were the #2 seed a mere three seasons ago, and it worked the same way, so I take it that you weren't paying attention then...
