Saints are allowing the lowest yds/game rushing

This doesn't tell you anything and is a pretty useless stat by itself.

and tied with bears for best rushing yds/att

Now this is an impressive stat. This is the stat that counts.

And its amazing we're talking about the Saints defense here, being tied for number 1 in any defensive category much less one as important as this.

We're living in great times my friends. Soak it up.

Saints won the Super Bowl the 2009 season, 4 years after Katrina.

The post Katrina season and Payton / Brees’s first season with the Saints was 2006. Saints made the NFCCG that year. Why didn’t the league gift them the Super Bowl then? They only needed one more win the get there and another to win it. Or why not in 07? Or 08?

America's Team has 2 playoff wins since 1997

Houston Texans are an expansion team that was created in 2002 and already have 3.

You aren't even the most relevant team in your state.

Redskins also have 2 playoff wins since 1997
Dolphins have 3

Just to give you context for where your franchise ranks in the last 20+ years

IMO, I am glad they are on the win streak. They are obviously over confident.

Where are you people seeing this? Every day there is a new thread proclaiming that Dallas fans think that they are gonna beat the Saints and that they think that the cowboys are going to the super bowl.
I live here and all I’ve heard from every cowboy fan I know is that the cowboys are going to get stomped by the Saints. They also are not high on their team at all and want to fire Jason Garrett.
I’m really confused about where you folks are getting this narrative.

We have been fortunate to take teams out of their comfort zone when it comes to the rush. However, Zeke will get his. Given the fact that the cowboys have a lot less weapons than the rams do, it will be more so of a heavily stat padded night for Zeke with a bunch of garbage time all purpose yards between run and pass. If he doesn’t get 100 rushing yards, he will certainly get at least 150 yards combined between the two.

If this happens they will most certainly lose. I think the X factor is going to be Dak Prescott's running ability when the Saints are in a pass defense. That can keep the chains moving and converting third downs without the need to face the Saints rush defense.

The reason the Saints rush defense is so good is partly because they are, per being tied for the league lead in the lowest rushing yardage average per attempt allowed and partly because the Saints get up on top of teams so fast that if they were to try to grind it out, down multiple scores, they would just run out of time and never come close to winning the game.

Teams start airing it out because they have to try to score quick to close the gap and keep up with the Saints offense. It's not just that the Saints score quickly in each drive, it's that the Saints score so often, on almost every drive.

If you grind it out you shorten the game so you probably drag the Saints final score down by limiting the number of offensive possessions they have but you also limit the number of offensive possessions your own team has as well. This still doesn't change how often the Saints score on their drives. That remains unchanged whether you're grinding it out or airing it out. So is there really a difference between being beaten 34-10 vs. 52-28?

All you did was shorten the game and lower the overall score for both teams. Teams are passing because you have a better chance at scoring against the Saints 30th ranked pass defense then you do against their #1 ranked rush defense. Of course that pass defense is getting better by the game too with the addition of Eli Apple, so we might actually see the scores get even more out of hand.

Best Play Ever:

The Minneapolis Miracle (also known as the Minnesota Miracle) was the National Football Conference (NFC) divisional playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints on January 14, 2018, and specifically its final play.

Why do you have LSU next to your username? Obviously you're not a fan of Louisiana since you're rooting for a team in Texas when you have your own team to root for in-state. Not only are you not rooting for your home state team, you're openly disparaging them. You're not a very good louisianian

That's part of being the top team in the NFL when you are no longer the un-proven underdog. If you don't like it go be a Browns fan.

It was like LSU vs BAMA this year. LSU fans thought their defense was beast and was hyped up by media as a threat, but Bama put them back in their place.

In reality, cowboys faced weak teams on streak. Made defense look good. After tomorrow, they will be back to what they were. Average

Dude,
national media is never really gonna love on the Saints. They get all hot and heavy for the New York teams and Dallas. Dallas wins a few and all of a sudden " the resurgent Cowboys" or the lamentations of why the Giants suck.

Even if the Saints beat the Cowboys on Thursday, the headlines nationally will be what went wrong for the Cowboys.

Personally I like it that way and come playoff time we can shove it in their face. The only guy that consistently shows us love when we deserve it is Peter King.
