Given who is in charge and that a new regime is in place, it makes sense.

Can't start off with malcontents with a new infrastructure. Once stability and culture is in place, you can gamble on guys with bad attitudes being broken in.

I’m sure. He should have been picked in the 3rd, or early 4th round. I’m sure it’s the reason he dropped. But he has ability. And we need talent in the worse way. Especially on the edge.

Risky to bring him in IF that was the reason he was cut. But sometimes it takes being cut, especially as a rookie, to humble you and put a chip on your shoulder. Just depends on if he actually cares about football or not.

So regardless of potential, not a good fit here either...if this was the case, which is very likely.

What happened to Robert Woods? Injury, 30+, McVay boost, combination

Feels like it wasn't that long ago he was a stat monster causing problems all over the field.

Definitely a combo of those things, but I actually dug into his stats a bit and he has a HORRIBLE catch rate (52%). I haven't looked into a separation of watchable balls vs not, but this is his rate over his entire career, which has been steady pretty much every season (even his big stat seasons).

He also isn't a big guy, so the injury and his age really slowed down what he does best.

If this is the case, I think NOLA might be the best fit for him. Bo Davis who coached him in college. Cam Jordan and Demario Davis who will hold him accountable and show him how to be a pro. I’m not sure if TM7 is still around the team, but he could be a guy who could school him about turning things around. Also, there would be competition in the form of Cam, Carl and Young so he’d have to step up and perform and if he didn’t…bye.

I'd be good picking up Trask from Tampa

The Saints should go get Bradyn Swinson. He will turn into a good NFL Edge.

Robert Woods and Kyle McCord should be signed as well.

You can handle a problem horse around others. You just don't put up with it for long. The coaching staff is better and more solid than I could have hoped.

Robert woods has been done for years. He’s just a name at this point.

Swinson should have been claimed

Looks like Swinson was not claimed on waivers and was put on the practice squad.

Terrance Marshall was waived, signed to the practice squad then released from the practice squad. Odd that he can’t stick somewhere. Lampkins was placed on IR.

It's Terrace Marshall not Terrance. Also nice to see Eli Ricks get cut after that punk bailed on LSU for Bama.
