I did and still do think that Carr last year was in the same tier as Andy Dalton.
Carr might prove me wrong but one game is not a narrative breaker, nor is 2 or 3.

I'm in this boat too. And he didn't have some amazing game last week. His first half was poor, even with all the pressure. Really good 2nd half that helped the team win the game though. I don't think Dalton could've played that 2nd half, so I'll give Carr props for that. We'll see how the season plays out. I hope I'm wrong and Carr is several tiers above Dalton by then.

Dalton has been a career backup for the last 4-5 years. At no point has Carr been a backup. The past couple years Carr has been more superior as a qb then Dalton- you can see the stats or just watch the games. The fact you have them in the same tier is ridiculous. You’re right 2-3 games isn’t narrative breaker but compare both qbs last 3-4 years- that sure as hell is a narrative breaker. Add this dude to the list- certified troll.

He was constantly harassed by the defense because of our shite oline play, threw for over 300 yards, threw for the only TD in the whole game, had an over 90 passer rating, completed nearly 70 % of his passes and made a key deep pass late in the game to help seal the win. But yeah no big deal, thats not amazing enough for some people lol I swear what do people expect Carr to be?

I think I was judging too harshly based on his brother who was a total pussy.
My opinion has started to flip based on the NFL Films Mic'd up though. He's tough and is a good leader.
