I really hate to say this, but at this point I don’t think we will be a competitive franchise again until Mickey is dead.

I would have no problem keeping Rizzi and Kubiak, but a top notch head coaching candidate would not take too kindly to being dictated to before he even starts.

If he wants to keep the staff, just promote Kubiak to head coach. Let him burn the tires while you try to figure out how to be a GM and rebuild the team.
