i think we go after the best TE we can get in the draft next year, that might even result in trading up to do it

I could see us using some 2020 picks to move up. Like trade our 2020 3rd round pick to move up into the beginning of the 2nd round to take our targeted TE.

We have drafted 1 TE since SP has been here. Jimmy Graham. That's it.

He doesnt like drafting TEs for whatever reason.

I agree.
Get a good free agent.
Rookie TE’s take too long to adjust.

3 years. Avg.

Max Williams is a great blocker. He is blowing people up in the game vs the Browns right now.

Ebron with the Colts available?

Drew Brees will make an average TE a Star TE.

We whiffed this year at TE and WR.

Arnold has a chance to be damn good if he matures.

This has to be a long-term goal. Arnold still has a very slight frame for a TE. Gonna take a few years of NFL conditioning for him to be a legitimate option at the position.

For example, he is 6'5 220 ... Travis Kelce is also 6'5 but is 260! Zach Ertz, also 6'5, but is 250. George Kittle, 6'4 250.

I'll say this much, anyone pounding for Cook before yesterday and is still wanting him is crazy.

He pulled one of the laziest things I ever saw yesterday and caused a pick 6.

Yea, but you have to admit Fleener was terrible.

I remember being so excited when we got him. :)

I’m all in on Irv Smith with our 2nd round pick.

As far as the F.A.'s go...I like Jesse James, CJ Uzomah (never watched him play, but he has decent numbers), & Maxx Williams (not for a #1 TE, but a dirt cheap guy with potential to compete with Dan Arnold in the pre-season).

All the other TE's either suck, too expensive, too old, or recovering from an injury. Only way I'd take one of the injured TE's is if we got him for peanuts.

I like the TE for TB Cameron Brate 6'5 245. 4 years in the NFL his contract may be up.

Unfortunately, Brate signed a 6 year deal this past off-season.

Eifert or Cook would be a dream scenario, but Maxx Williams, Jesse James, or CJ Uzomah would work as well... big, rangy recieving threats that are capable blockers...

With a lack of draft picks this year, a TE will have to come as a free agent.
