Who’s the latest or upcoming Miami TE to come out? Those guys are always talented

Any word on why Maxx hasnt worked out in Baltimore? I wouldnt mind the signing and he would certainly come cheap.

I know they have a boatload or tight ends on that roster. I guess he just hasn’t developed in their system. He’s only 24 so with his pedigree I feel like we could turn him into a very serviceable part of our group with some coaching

Wouldn't mind getting Walker or Eifert on cheaper deals due to injuries. Both can play when healthy and Walker is a decent run blocker.

Maxx Williams is who'd I put money on the Saints signing. Hasn't done much and will be cheap. His draft analysis is exactly what the Saints have liked in TE's (6'4", 33 1/2" ARM LENGTH, 249LBS, and 10 3/8" HANDS). Came into the league young (redshirt sophomore) Draft Notes

One issue that might come up if it has not changed...

I would look to free agency for a young veteran. Very rarely is a rookie TE going to have a big impact right away. Mark Andrews is really the only guy from this rookie class that's put together any consistent production thus far. His teammate Hayden Hurst, who many Saints fans wanted during the draft, has been nonexistent for the most part.

At best you could hope they turn the corner in their second season like George Kittle or David Njoku as recent examples.

I guess his experience in Baltimore could be seen as a humbling one then

1 little piece about Irv Smith

yes you brought up the fact his dad was a Saint...

Irv, Jr. went to Bro. Martin... they've stayed local (other than him going to Alabama for college)

BRING IRV HOME AND PUT ANOTHER CRUSADER ON THE ROSTER

Moreau is mediocre at best. He’s not great at anything and not above average at anything either.

He’s not worth’s glyer outside of as an undrafted free agent.

i think we go after the best TE we can get in the draft next year, that might even result in trading up to do it

i dont see where we "need" to go sign a vet TE unless there are no good ones to draft, its a position that doesnt require all pro skill to be very effective

Draft the obvious UDFA in rd 4? Bold strategy.

Dawson Knox

Really athletic but they didn't force feed him the ball like Evan Engram so he doesn't have the stats. He probably can't block for shite.

having a TE that can block & catch is important for our offense, that was part of Jimmy’s problem. great catcher but couldn’t block at all.

That doesn't mean we can't make it work, like we did Jimmy.

Or you could not use a pick and sign him after the draft
