follow the money-thats how decisions are made.
And, as I said, that's what I think is lame.
All other things being equal, the Shreveport "money" would rather go to Dallas than the state team.
I can't believe anyone here's taking my point as being anything but completely on the side of the actual Saints fans in Shreveport.

If enough people get satellite tv your local cable provider will get the hint.

why ,as a resident of la, must i pay extra to watch our state nfl team....the saints.....when our local station should be playing that game in place of the cowboys game? its bad enough that kmss has the worst picture and sound dubbing issues, but i cant even watch our team...ill have to pay for a channel to watch it for 3 hours <~~~~~ done, thanks for the link

Y'all missed a great game this Sunday.
And Dallas is a lot closer to Shreveport than New Orleans is. I don't really think state lines matter that much.

Why'd this guy say "again"? I know state lines usually matter when they draw the TV maps, but Shreveport is so much closer to Dallas. If I was born in Shreveport I'd probably be a Cowboys fan. In my view state lines don't matter.

It has nothing to do with the cable provider in this case. It is the local fox affiliate.
I remember some very heated conversations about this several years ago.
I don't know if it has changed, but KMSS said that their hands were tied due to either NFL or Fox corporate regulations.
The game that you get is based on your location. Because the Shreveport metro area also includes part of East Texas and because Shreveport is geographically closer to Dallas than New Orleans, they show the Cowboys games.
They also have conflicting games on 11/19 and 1/3.
There could be a few other games that we miss if Fox doesn't have a doubleheader on those days.

I wasn't referring to you in particular. Just the general population.
Defensive much?

Thanks for the heads up, at least I won't be blindsided with like I was a few weeks ago and go into an all out rage.

Boo fricking hoo.
Jesus. If you don't think it was a valid point, why are you on a SAINTS board. It wasn't a "shot" it was simply a point. Some of you people need to seriously grow a pair, already.

To whom it may concern: I would like to express my displeasure with KMSS over your decision to broadcast the Dallas Cowboys game on October 25, rather than the New Orleans Saints. Louisiana has an NFL team which is the Saints. I am absolutely appalled that a Louisiana broadcasting station would make the Cowboys a primary broadcast while the Saints remain secondary. This is the second and likely not the last time I have dealt with this issue during this season. As a Louisiana resident, a portion of my state tax dollars fund the New Orleans saints....NOT the Dallas Cowboys. I hope that this issue will be properly addressed and remedied. Thank you,

I posted about this a couple of times...but everytime I call KMSS I'm politely informed that the calls they get when they dont air the Cowboys are way more than when they don't show the Saints games. All the North Louisiana bullshite spewed on here sucks but Cowboys fans are aplenty here in the Sport/Bossier area. Thats the harsh reality. But if any you fine folks want to start finding a place to watch the games when they do this shite, I'd be happy to help coordinate a spot for us to all meet up. Plus we can frick with the Cowboys fans wherever we pick

You know what else pisses me off. The way Dallas is shoved down our throat on Sunday and Monday Nights even when they sucked the previous year.

I called the Fox channel and left a message and also e-mailed them. No response, the chickenshits.
those mf'ers wont call you back. about 3 years ago I finally got the programming director on the phone & he LIED to me & told me it wasn't a local desicion. i did some research & called him back & cussed him like a dog. all he could say was "im sorry, but in my estimation, there are more cowboys fans in this market than saints fans". and hes probably right.
it makes me effing sick to see all the damn cowboys fans in this part of the state. SICK!
