Well you ask yourself, is it worth taking the chance and not getting it giving them the opportunity to win the game with a FG? Is that really worth it to you? I mean a simple kick out of bounds or one penalty could give them a chance to walk out of there with a win on a FG.
If they scored a touchdown they were going to win regardless... At least if they would have gotten a FG its a tied and going to OT.
