Cam Newton?! NO! No No No...hell no!

Winston is an idiot. But he’s super talented. I’d take a flier on him being a backup to Drew until Drew retires. But that’s not likely. Winston will get starter money and the option to start for someone like Denver or San Diego or some team like that.

If it weren’t for his contract, I’d like to trade for David Carr in a year or two. Not saying he will be great, but he’d be good with a good team which we have.

Carr is a good possibility going forward.

I’ll take my chances with Taysom. I think Newton is pretty much done. He was used as a short yardage power back in the panthers offense and absorbed too many hits. I doubt he ever returns to where he was. Jameis had one of the best receiving cores in the league which inflated his numbers. He can throw it but I’m not sure if you fix his terrible decision making. I’m pretty sure last year he just tried to throw for as many yards as possible and didn’t care if it was picked to achieve that. The fact that they passed on him in favor of Tom Brady speaks volumes.

Crabber easily the answer. Cam has no more range of motion in his shoulder he is unofficially done. Done.

I’d MUCH rather Winston over Newton at this point.

he's my favorite player on the team but he turns 30 in August and hasn't gotten many reps at the QB position.

he also had 2 season ending injuries at BYU.

I wouldn't mind seeing him getting a chance one day but would sorta be meh about the idea for reasons listed just starting out.

another thing, yeah he can make plays with his feet and I think he'd lean too much on that if he didn't like what he saw in the pocket.

he's a physical guy who isn't afraid to mix it up and imagine him doing that for even half a season.

it probably wouldn't end well.

Pass. I hope Gayle is easy to persuade so when Brees retires they full out tank for a top 5 pick and get a QB

I’m just saying give him a shot. It would be interesting to watch and if he bombs out then we can sign him for less money to continue you what he is doing now. We would then also have an early pick to bring someone else in

Winston is one of the most talented QBs in the league...problem is he is the dumber version of Jay Cutler.

Newton is washed up.

Take neither. Both of them win’t Be happy as back ups and would not be Coker room positive. Taysom is 2.

I hate Cam Newton both as a qb and as a human being. Just cannot stand him. I would have a hard time watching Saints games if he was qb.

Jameis is an enigma. He reminds me of Jarret Lee for LSU in 2008. People only remember the pick 6’s but forget that he also threw for a metric f$&k ton of yards and tds (by LSU standards, at least). Jameis is the same way. He’s completely unreliable, but he seems he could be fixed. We have the technology. He got Lasik. Remember, Jarret lee in 2011 led the SEC in qb rating. I think Jameis could become the star that he was billed to be. The ingredients are all there.
