No one thinks Shough is Brees, but we are picking top 5. Need to see what you have in him.

Yes, that Olave drop & Johnson fumble were 100% Rattler’s fault. It’s indisputable.

Y'all really trying to put these losses on Rattler? Do y'all even watch the games?

Y'all's reasoning fricking sucks.

I've viewed Rattler as just a game manager that is a net zero. He isn't making us lose but nor is he making us win. Today was the first game I've felt like he was a positive and was let down by receivers.

Rattler the only bright spot on this whole frickin team… if Shough old arse could play he would be playing… plenty of WR’s were available at the 40th pick… obviously we win at least two (possibly 3) more games this season with a component WR

Why? If Rattler keeps improving they are not going to reach on a qb in April.

Why do yall think Shough is good or ready to start?

Because they're idiots and he's the backup QB.

They think coaches just put the best option to help their team win on the bench.

I could understand if we had drafted someone with a lot of potential, but we drafted a 26 year old QB who's best college season was decent, at best. It's ridiculous to think he'll ever be better than even what we've seen from Rattler.

The drop and fumble doesn't matter. This offense with Rattler has no downfield push. Defenses can sit on everything and he can't make them pay. He has played above his draft status, but he is not a franchise guy. He just isnt

The Saints pushed the ball all day. They continued to struggled in the red zone.

Exactly, he is a decent-good backup, and there is nothing wrong with that as a 5th rounder

You are right in that I believe that’s the way the staff is looking at it. The problem is that “he’s playing well enough to keep it” shouldn’t be the standard.

It should be that he is playing really well and showing himself a franchise QB. He’s not doing that. If he’s not the franchise guy……then you need to be seeing who CAN be a franchise guy.

Totally agree. I'd like to see what we have in Shough before we draft (likely in top 5). But Rattler did have a pretty encouraging game today so this staff seems to want to slow roll Shough in if anything. Or perhaps he is just really bad, in which case, is what it is.

This staff drafted Shough. If he was ready to play, he’d play. It’s really as simple as that.

If you’re screaming for Shough, you just want to see something different. It’s a pretty normal reaction but doesn’t mean it’s correct.

Not surprising once Rattler starts to settle in and play well, y'all want to replace him with an old, bum arse backup.

Rattler is straight garbage. Awful, terrible, untalented garbage.
He sucks.

1-5 means we should be trying out guys for trade currency and see where we need to draft.

So what does that make Shough considering he couldn't beat out Rattler?

Exactly.

Again, if Kellen Moore thought Shough was better, Shough would be playing.

With Rattler playing at this level, I think you wait until game 10 or so. Presumably by that time you’re eliminated from the playoffs (or nearly so) and you give roughly the second half of the season to Shough to see what he can do.
